Can you spot the corporate shill?

Was reading this old Atari magazine and came across an obvious fake letter to the editor.

From Texas of course. LOL

Haha, they used to do that in professional wrestling magazines a lot so they could ask about and introduce new elements to an angle-it was DEFINITELY to "sell"(intentional quotes, as I mean Wrestling "sell" as much as monetary sales), but it felt like part of the act, the one you found is a real eye-roller, haha!!!

How did they get letters to the editor anyway for a first issue of a magazine? It's not like they could send out emails back then and ask their fans hey we're building a new magazine send us your questions.

I've actually seen it done semi-legit(and the specific example IS a short-lived Wrasslin magazine, lol!).

The had letters from the internet, so evidently the creation of the magazine was coordinated with a website, in the semi-early days of mass Worldwidenetweb usage.

    So there.

    :D
