Keeping things interesting

Hey fellow Twin Galaxians, you may have noticed that I like to post on a wide range of topics. Photos of events, magazines, strange new consoles, Respberry Pi projects.

I am trying to get into making regular posts about things I hope people will find interesting.

On that note, any requests?

Photo: Derek Sorrels, my Wife Stephanie, Joel West (R.I.P.) and Richie Knucklez. Taken at The Place Retro Arcade.

The 82' life magazine shoot is the first thing that comes to my mind, though im sure you dont have any personal pics from that. I've been looking for a comprehensive list of all the gamers in that shoot but have so far been unsuccessful. I've been considering buying a copy from eBay so I can get it.

Aside from that, maybe documenting Funspot tourneys, conventions, their history, etc but yea I like what you've done.

I told JJT if he gets like a top 3 Defender score I'd come to Texas and play him at F&F. If he accomplishes that maybe we could get Rocky and Klein, two other F&F players to come as well. If that were to happen we should document it somehow, pics, video, maybe a lil article or something, idk. I've been considering making a post about it to kind of make it official, ie; exactly what the challenge is for JJT, making the community aware of it, etc

I've traveled to Texas quite a few times getting games and Klein has came along a time or two. We sure could make it a third to play some Super Cars and who knows what!! Get crackin on that defender!!! @JJT_Defender

Are you talking about the famous photo featuring the cheerleaders, gamers, and arcade cabs in the street? If so...

The players selected for the LIFE photo session included: Ben Gold and Mike Lepkosky from Texas; Mark Robichek, Todd Walker, Eric Ginner and Doug Nelson from California; Billy Mitchell and Ned Troide from Florida; Leo Daniels, Joel West and Sam Blackburn from North Carolina; Darren Olson and Kent Farries from Calgary, Alberta; Jeff Brandt from Illinois; Matt Brass from Montana; and Steve Sanders from Missouri.

I was honored to be the official photographer for the re-creation photo in 2014. The same games in the lineup, a couple of the original players, even one of the original cheerleaders. Was a great day!

I believe he is running another arcade. He seems to go through them quite often. It is a difficult profession to have, especiall during the HamDemic.
