We are very pleased to reveal our latest upgrade to the Twin Galaxies site!

You will notice that there have been some significant across-the-site changes made to the platform that help to improve the flow, utility and function of TG.

Please keep in mind that the full upgrade has not been totally completed and work is continuing as this is being written, however it has reached a point where we are comfortable turning on this initial first stage and working through the various bugs and optimizations.

Over the next few days you will see many adjustments being made to what is currently being presented.

The submission and voting areas have been significantly improved and we hope that the community finds the changes to be helpful. With that being said there is more to come in that area, as a Dashboard (similar to the one found in the Bounty section) is planned to be added to make it much easier to track/follow all your voting activity on the site.

There is also a major update in progress for the WALL FEED, so you should expect more improvements there as well!

The way we develop these improvements, is by doing it off site on a duplicate system, then we bring those changes over to the main site. The main site is always a little different than the test site, so once we bring stuff over to MAIN, we need to spend time doing optimizations and bug fixing. So we are doing that now with these upgraded sections.

Please report any bugs you find (related to this upgrade) to this thread so we can address them as quickly as possible!

We would like to take a moment to gratefully thank @admin staff and the entire engineering team for their incredibly hard work on this upgrade! This represents a tremendous amount of work over many months to accomplish. The Twin Galaxies platform is very complex underneath the hood as it performs many functions, and making these massive system-wide changes to the platform is no joke!

Hopefully the community appreciates their great efforts and enjoys the continuing improvements that the entire team works to bring to the total experience.

Obviously, nothing is perfect and there is much more to do, but please know that Twin Galaxies is appreciative of the community's passion and participation, and continues to work hard to do its part in making this place the most premium and special experience it can be for video game achievement recognition!

Onward! More exciting stuff soon! This is just the beginning!!

It's good to see the banner on top the submission pages:

Please be sure to read the Twin Galaxies Rules and Guidelines and the General Gameplay Global Rules And Guidelines For All Submissions to learn more about how to adjudicate!

I'm not seeing the option to Subscribe to the submission threads. I hope that system hasn't "gone away" - it was the only method I could reliably go back and review what I had voted on.

A new submission doesn't have a video: https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/256007-Android-Angry-Birds-Space-Pig-Bang-1-19-98-270 . I went to quote the OP to check if there was a hidden vzaar tag but there doesn't appear to be any option to quote the OP anymore.

@admin staff can add the subscribe option, but please know that a submission dashboard is coming that will make it way easier to track what you have voted on and everything else. The dashboard will exist right on the submissions page, similarly to how the bounty dashboard works.

Almost, the css was fixed so I can now click on the notifications but once the drop down menu comes up i falls into the bounties and seems to be on top of them but when i click the notification i want to see it still takes me to bounties as if the dropdown is under the bounties link. This can be seen by slowly dragging the mouse down and the cursor turns to a hand before it even gets to the notification link i want to click :-)

This image shows the mouse when it starts to become a link, note it lines up with bounties box. So far I have only encountered this on the home page

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but there doesn't seem to be a way to donate to proposed tracks.

Also, could searching submissions by player name be put back in alphabetical order?

If it was up to me, I would replace the yellow text or trim it to only keep the score (time) at the end. It also may help with the expanding tiles by eliminating the long, redundant part of the track name.

I tried to copy and paste the vzaar tag, but it looks like the video never showed up. I thought it would take time to process.

This needs to be fixed.

if i click on a score (to be fair i only tried it with mames depthcharge top score) i go to the players profile not to the score submission.

I've just noticed a difference in behaviour of the first video: the Share option shows a URL which links back to the submission thread, not the vzaar video.

Compare that with the duplicate I made in the new sub & that's a vzaar link.

I see what happened. I unknowingly put in the thread link (as shown in Barthax's screenshot) instead of the vzaar tag.

Another bug that needs to be fixed. I plan on getting around to some mass submissions with one video, so this fix would be helpful.

Couple of bugs found. First bug:

I stumbled on a new feature: using vzaar tags in the text of a submission deploys the vzaar videos as "Additional Evidence" instead of integrating with the surrounded normal text entered. Nice feature but it cuts out the text description. See https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/256044-PlayStation-3-Final-Fantasy-XIII-2-Battle-Result-Academia-500-AF-Proto-behemoth-Schrodinger-x2-Normal-Mode-Battle-Duration-41-0 - the text entered into the submission form was:

Achieved on 20140705. Acadamia 500 AF zone entered around 2:22 in Part 1. Attempt begins around 12:37 in Part 2.

Part 1 video in TG archive:
vzaar-player

^ end text...

Second bug:

I posted into that thread about the issue (to resolve the submission) and also to another thread. I discovered that when using the Post Quick Reply feature too quickly after another, the forums' 30 second timeout feature kicks in (not a bug) and the text of the response is completely lost (the bug). With the old reply text, the textual content was retained.

I've looked and don't see any comments about this. Submissions created after the upgrade have an extremely low view count.

The upstate and make over was long time coming to the site.

1. It is 100% faster in everything from adjudicating, voting, seeing credibility & submission points, our profile, the list of submission, clicking anything links, leaderboard, replying etc..

2. The makeover is 100% better the is vibrant more excitable, colorful, and video game player friendly to both Twin Galaxies members and protentional TG members and people that just want check Twin Galaxies site, it is more attractive and appealing.

3. The rotational showing of the Twin Galaxies video game Bounties Challengesis great idea, both Twin Galaxies and non-members.

Like every you have to work out the kinks and bugs.

Great Job

Excellent font changes on the Scoreboard Performances pages. They are so much easier to read now.

The time indicator on the video playback is no longer showing. It used to be next to the volume bar. The slider is inexact to understand the current offset. Could this current time indicator be restored, please.
