Dear Community,

There are many people from wide range of the overall gaming community who enjoy visiting TG to view the content here and want TG to be the best it can be. TG Admin gets sent all kinds of thoughts, encouragement, complaints, etc from passionate enthusiasts who sometimes may want to contribute but don't have the access/CR or desire to socially participate online to do so. Recently we received a private note with some questions about performances that are stored in the TG database and we wanted to share it and gather community thoughts and allow the community to take action if it decides that some may be needed.

It is important to understand that Twin Galaxies itself cannot and does not create dispute claims. Twin Galaxies' affirmative position is that all scores that are in the TG database are VALID until definitively proven otherwise through the dispute claim process.

Please feel free to take a look! What do you think?

Regarding Gyruss. When I try to download the inp it just takes me to the homepage. Maybe that's a me problem but have a hard time believing it's a recording of Jumpman from a different platform. Would be interested to hear more about this. I also seem to remember watching some of this performance live and pretty confident it's legit. But again, impossible to prove either way without a copy of the inp.

Gyruss score is good absolutely. Somehow the database has been corrupted and has several instances of this happening. I've now seen it a few times. There is also a problem of several TGASP videos now gone missing even though they were once part of the submission. You can still find several the videos on your youtube TG archive channel.

I started something similar to this a while back, but haven't given it much time recently. If anyone wants to collaborate, let me know:

My thoughts on Astro Blaster can be found in the supporting doc on the spreadsheet

Gyruss is 100% legit. Score is verified on MARP

Hey @admin staff please look into the cause of this issue. It is likely due to the new presentation format of submission threads.

Hi All

I would need at least 10 examples of the issue. I would compare the current db data and the backup and find the root cause of the issue.

Please help me with this

I sampled about 30 of my scores and found these 2:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/178035 - Tutankham MAME submission but video shows Band Hero
https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/157398 - Bogey Manor MAME submission but video shows MAME Ms. Pac-man by JasonV91

@Barra a very good list although a couple to change to plausible and beaten:

Final Lap - beaten by 10 seconds in Japan

Radar Zone - score of over 400k now at Aurcade

Son Son: 10 million + done in Japan

My Hero: 12 million on MAME www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~zekzek/replays_z/replays_z.html on Japanese version, not sure if higher scoring though

Pac-Land: heard of scores of up to 14 million, but possible bug?

Pinbo: plausible as 2 million score at Marp

Pro Soccer: plausible as 100k score at Marp and have heard of higher scores from Japan

Super Basketball: claims of max out from Japan (9,999,990)

Super Dodgeball: claims of max out from Japan

The Three Stooges in Brides is Brides: plausible as BBH says about huge amount of lives given after 990,000

Tiger Heli - claims of max out from Japan in 2006

But there are several scores in the arcade database that in my opinion are totally false, Spelunker for one (seems to max out at 999,990, but arcade score over 3million!!)

This always just ends up being the old Catch-22 of Disuptes here at TG.

Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean someone else didn't do it.

Just because someone has managed to beat the score doesn't mean the first score wasn't cheated.

In Elevator Action, the lowest "Difficulty" setting is "Easiest", and the highest is "Hard".

The second lowest "Difficulty" setting is "Easy", and the second highest is "Normal".

No other labels apply. Numbering the "Difficulty" settings is not legitimate.

Correct "Difficulty" to use for arcade track, "Points [Normal - Difficulty 1]" is "Easiest".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for arcade track, "Points [Hard - Difficulty 4]" is "Hard".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for arcade track, "How Far Can You Get?" is "Easiest".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for arcade track, "Levels completed" is "Easiest".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for MAME track, "Points" is "Normal".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for MAME track, "Points [ADeca 2004 Only Variation]" is "Hard".

Correct "Difficulty" to use for MAME track, "Points [Twin Galaxies Extreme Settings]" is "Hard".
