The "Default Settings" track under Capcom Generations 5 for the Saturn (https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/capcom-generation-5/sega-saturn) makes absolutely no sense, given that the title is a collection of three Street Fighter II titles. The track doesn't tell us which game it's for.

I guess technically it could be for any of the titles, but I suspect the rules would tell us that. So this needs something done with it to make sense.

Also, is anyone doing anything with this thread anymore? Or is even this also shouting into the void?

Unfortunately this is an older track with a pre-existing record.
Without any additional information there isn't anything we can do. :(

The only way would be to dispute it (I see it already exist) and remove the track all together.

And it's not shouting into the void... I see it and fix the ones I can. Most others depend on @admin staff

Again, I apologize.

Did some digging on this and it looks like the name of the track is actually "Chinatown X" not "EX"

I have made the correction.

Please check.

All good. I just hadn't seen fixes to a couple I mentioned on the previous page or responses in general lately, and there's still a bit too much uncertainty about what's being done resulting in snark about being ignored - and I'm sorry about that part. Looking forward to seeing that concern go away.

Edit: Even if nothing is done yet, if there was just a way we could know that they've been seen and they're in backlog to fix would be great.

This track needs to show two digits to the right of the decimal point. The main view is rounding the distance to the tenths.

"Joust e" on the Commodore 64. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/joust-e/commodore-64/emu-high-score-challenge/page/1?ref=fbshare

Can you change the the track title to read "EMU - Points" to stick to the naming standard? I'm not sure what "High Score Challenge" means.. :)

Thanks, ISB

Unfortunately I cannot make this change since the track was founded by @1500points and has preexisting scores.

We will need clarification from @1500points as to what the "High score Challenge" is. It looks to be points, but we just need confirmation.

I'll copy and paste what I posted on my wall, since I didn't hear back:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 2 versions of Karate Champ that were released, the original and an updated version called "Player vs Player". They can easily be told apart from each other by the scenery that the fights take place in; The original had matches taking place in a dojo (at first) and then a tournament arena, like this:

The Player vs Player version takes place on various "street" locations, and the competitors start the fight much further spaced out:

Aside from these visual differences, the gameplay in a single player game of the original is endless...the game continues until you die, and the score resets (rolls over) at a million. The Player vs Player version has a definitive end, after 12 matches against "Champion" level opponents. The scores from both version should definitely not be compared against one another due to all the reasons I've listed, and the fact the CPU's AI is improved in the newer PvP version.

The issue I have with the MAME tracks here on TG is that I am 99% certain both versions have been used for older pre-TGSAP scores. Taking a look on MARP's tracks, I can find both the first and second place scores from TG's track:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/karate-champ-us/mame

Julio Montero's 1st place TG score is 2nd place on MARP for the original version:
http://replay.marpirc.net/r/kchamp

Tommi Tiihonen's 2nd place TG score is 3rd place on MARP for the Player vs Player version:
http://replay.marpirc.net/r/kchampvs

Is there anything that can be done at this point to correct this? They obviously should have seperate TG tracks, but how would that work? @SincerelyFranny @admin staff

ALSO:
The arcade track for Karate Champ also does not specify which version is allowed; I strongly recommend adding to the rules that only "Player vs Player" scores are allowed on the existing track. All the scores currently there are definitely possible on that board, and it would be a shame for someone to ruin the track by submitting an impossible score to reach from the original (endless) version of the game.

Thank you for your attention and looking into this!

- Pete

The Sega Saturn game "Athlete Kings" (https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/athlete-kings/sega-saturn) needs to be updated to indicate that the game goes by two different titles. It was called DecAthlete in the US and Japan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DecAthlete). Given that the game has NTSC tracks, it's clearly meant to include both versions in one, since they are just different names.

So, the one score for "Darius Twin" on the Sega Saturn was disputed, because the game isn't available on the Saturn. The dispute was closed, too. Yet, the score is *still there*. Shouldn't this be gone because the dispute was accepted?

Would a note in the "Additional Information" field suffice for the indication you are requesting?

If so, do you have a suggestion for what it should say? They the exact same game - correct?

"Alternate game title of "Decathlete" also accepted"

Would that work?

I believe the standard has been set that both names are in the title with a slash dividing them, so ideally change the game name to "Athlete Kings / DecAthlete". But if there's a difficulty in doing that for now, a note in the "additional information" would work for the meantime.

We can have that done. :) Option A - that is.

Ok... hopefully he's still active on the site, but I've never seen him around. No biggie either way, it's obviously a points game, just thought keeping some kind of standard for titles would be good for the site :P

I believe I fixed all of the tracks with the invalid character. Please check and confirm. :)

I did notice that there are some duplicates, so those will be deleted soon.

PAL - Mötley Crüe - "Shout At The Devil" - Drums - Easy - 1 Player [Points]
NTSC - Mötley Crüe - "Shout At The Devil" - Drums - Easy - 1 Player [Points]

I added a new Joust 2 MAME track: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/joust-2-survival-of-the-fittest-set-1/mame/points-single-player-only-level-1-start

Once again, the track rules didn't retain formatting (line breaks) when copying/pasting from other existing track. Rules should look like this so that it's readable:

ROMSet: Joust2
Internal Defaults
-----------------

Extra Men Every: 25000
Men For 1 Credit Game: 5
Difficulty Of Play: 5
Special Rules: The above are the default internal settings for this title and need not be changed. This is a Single Player Only Variation! You must start on Level 1 "Serf" Level. No Continues Are Allowed! No more than TEN [10] pteradactyls can be killed in a single wave or the score will be disqualified on grounds of point-scabbing.

Can you reformat the rules for this track?

Thanks, ISB.
