Some rule corrections are needed for Gran Turismo Concept 2002 Tokyo-Geneva. The number of laps indicated for both Pro Difficulty and Ace Difficulty are incorrect. There are no options for the player to change the number of laps for these attempts.

For Pro Difficulty, the rules should indicate 3 laps:

For Ace Difficulty, the rules need to reflect the number of laps but the number of laps is different per course - typically 4 or 5 (the number for each course never changes). @kernzyp is putting up a bunch of attempts, so the rules can be amended based on his attempts.

This track recently was created and funded, but when clicking on the link for it in the active submission, it does not show any score tracks:

It only allows MAME for the platform filter dropdown, when it is an arcade platform track. Here is the link for the submission:

Gameboy - Mickey's Speedway USA


The rules for all tracks should be done in "Time Trial" mode, not 1P mode. All racing games with a Time Trial mode are used for purposes of timed races. This makes no sense why they would be written this way. Making this change does not affect scores already entered since they are achievable.

These are now corrected barring the "Ace Difficulty" tracks that currently don't have scores (10 tracks in total), as I can't see what the correct number of laps should be for each.


If you know these in advance, please feel to PM me directly (or tag me in a post here) and I can ammend. Alternatively, these can be ammended as/when scores are submitted, although it would be cleaner to do in bulk if poss.

Ha, well I know the story behind that one very well! Thought it had been fixed. Will notify IT! Unfortunately, if I try to fix it myself, Underwurlde on Speccy/C64 will become Gran Turismo.

The ROMset in the rules is incorrect - it should be "amidaru" (which is the Stern variant), and it has not been renamed as long as WolfMAME has been required at TG.


FYI... the game URL https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/amidar/mame/ also covers the Konami set which uses a different ROMset - the detail in those rules is OK as is.

It seems fixed.
Ace difficulty is 5 laps, generally speaking. Pretty sure Dirt tracks are different.

These tracks are missing from the original courses entered by TG.

Circuit 4 - 800cc

Circuit 5- 800cc

Circuit 6 - 800cc

Circuit 7 - 800cc

Circuit 8 - 800cc

Rules for all of them would be very simple and match the original tracks made by TG

The integers need reversed where smaller is better/faster is better. However it's worded.

Please check the link and let me know if this is what you had in mind. I wasn't quite clear on whether any of the existing ROMsets need to be renamed, or "amidaru" added as the latest ROMset.

Any reference to "amidar" or "amidar1" is incorrect and refers to a different set. Perhaps something like this...

The rule that says "Difficulty (Arcade) = Normal" should be removed because that is specific to Arcade Mode, not Original Mode.
