Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but how exactly does one submit on this track:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/st...tion/pc-engine

?

Breakthru! for SNES/SAT has the same problem. Something is jacked with the names.

Hi guys. I noted that this problem is related to the changes done by Stephen Daultrey in the Saturn version: renaming "game name" to Street Fighter Collection.

This track is now correct (
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/street-fighter-collection/sega-saturn/ ) however other tracks that were linked to the previous "game name" are wrong now.

Please search for "Street Fighter Collection" and look that other tracks for Super Street Fighter II: The New Chalengers are now named as Street Fighter Collection.
They are: Arcade, SNES, Genesis and WiiVC.

This is the previous conversation about this renaming. It seems that the staff know about the issue. Of course, it needs to be fixed:

I believe all the other reported errors in your list have either been resolved or have been logged with IT to fix in due course.

Thanks

Street Fighter III: New Generation (Arcade)

Wrong image in the database!
To be consistent to the other 2 games (2nd Impact and 3rd Strike), I suggest to use this image (title screen):

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (Arcade, DC, PS2)

The correct name is Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. And not "Third".
Please rename "game name", then 3 versions will be affected in the database: Arcade, Dreamcast and Playstation 2:

Hi @TRB_MetroidTeam

Arrrgh, apologies about this, it was my understanding that this had been fixed weeks ago for Street Fighter Collection/Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. It was reported to IT. I'll speak to Dave and find out where this is at.

Not sure if you saw my previous posts on this matter, but when Ben and I began correcting the titles of games, the research team uncovered a serious bug (or not so much a bug, but a consequence of how the site is coded).

Basically, if we retitle a game that has duplicates in the system, everything with the same title is also changed. So in this instance where I renamed Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers on Sega Saturn to Street Fighter Collection, every existing listing for the former (eg New Challengers on Arcade) also changed. A different problem occurs if we edit the title of a game to something that already exists (basically, all the tracks disappear).

Basically, with the majority of games with incorrect titles, the research team can't edit them, instead they're being logged with IT to fix. All I can assure you is that the Research team and IT are both fully aware of this problem affecting Street Fighter Collection/New Challengers, along with many other instances of where games have incorrect titles.

They're all recorded in a growing spreadsheet and are in a queue for IT to fix.

As mentioned, I will chase this with IT to fix.

Thanks
S

Hi @YesAffinity

Unfortunately, it looks like this problem is linked to the "duplicates" or game retitling "bug" that I've described above. Basically, the site has a habit of recognising games of the same title to be duplicates, despite being on different platforms. It's to do with the old coding. But it causes the page for one of the listings to disappear.

Research has a spreadsheet for logging all problems of this nature. I've added this one but I will also flag to IT and Dave if we can speed this one up as a priority.

Btw - do we need that "apostrophe" in the title? I know it's on the title screen but is it the official title for the game?

Thanks
SD
@Ben Way @Dave Hawksett - another "duplicates" bug causing a corrupted page.

Hi @sdwyer138

Thanks for flagging Breakthru! I've logged this one for IT. I think the problem here is because of the "!" in the game's title. The url isn't recognising the character and because there are already other games called Breakthru (without the "!"), the site is reading the listings as duplicates. This subsequently causes pages to break.

Flagging Ben and Dave below in case they've experienced anything similar.

EDIT: To prove my theory, if you look at Popcorn! on the Atari 5200, the "!" doesn't appear in the page's url. However, because there isn't another game in the system called "Popcorn", the site isn't reading Popcorn! as a duplicate of another listing. Therefore, the page in this instance isn't breaking.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks

This is now sorted.

Now, this is a good example of where the site DOES handle re-titling very well. I only needed to correct the name of one of the listings to re-title all of them.

However, as illustrated with Street Fighter Collection, this creates problems in cases where I only wish to edit an individual game, not a whole group of them with shared titles.

Yes, the apostrophe means "dash" for the japanese titles of the these games. Dash = fast or sped up. It is very much part of the title and the lore of SF2. :)

When I created this track I missed a couple of rules out, can they please be added:
Bonus Life: 10000
Special Rules:
This game takes approx two [2] minutes to load. Therefore, TG will allow you to record more than One game attempt within the same INP file providing you indicate to us which performance is the One you are submitting for. All we ask is that you try to limit yourself to One [1] hour of attempts per recorded INP file.

The change to the special rule will bring this game in line with other DECO cassette titles.

I have 4 world Records that are not being credited to me because of the "premium / non-premium" issue. A few months ago, Dave announced that all high-scores regardless of who created the track will be considered World Records and will be reflected in our profiles. But I have 4 scores that are still not reflected in my WR count. Please adjust.

Thank You.

INTELLIVISION FLASHBACK MOTOCROSS:

On Course 3:

The player entered his score of 56 seconds while there was an old format for entering the score. By mistake, his score entered as 0.056 seconds. After he entered the score, a proper (timer) format was implemented by admin for all the tracks for the player to enter his/her score properly.

Please change his score from 0.056 SECONDS to 56 SECONDS in the database.

Nothing has been done. I asked twice for updates since the announcement. Received no response.

At least I'm not alone :)

Then I have a score where a player leiched to beat me - it won't pass adjudication, but in the meanwhile, I appear to have a second place in the database. Second Place ??? I may need therapy for it. LOL (kidding of course).
