I was under the impression that the track creator could only add additional tracks?
I'm still new, here. !
Cheap? I can afford you, mate.
Seen MANY requests the same as I asked. No problems, until today.
Get out of my boozer.

I'm still confused.. am I allowed to have more than one score on a track? I mean, I only want my top score displayed. I was thinking once I got a new high score my lower scores would be wiped off. Currently I have 3 scores on Jumping Jack:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/jumping-jack/mame/points/

I don't mean to have 3 there. I had submitted my highest score, but then beat it, and then beat it again.

If you like I could fill the whole board up.. heck I could beat some of those scores with my eyes closed.

When a submission is still being adjudicated two will appear on the scoreboard if you have a prior score up. When the score goes through the lower one will disappear.
Your right though, you have 3 scores up right now, and two of them have already went through. Your score of 145,580 should have disappeared when your score of 283,885 went through.

This is a glitch that has happened a couple times now, here

Hi,

@admin staff - thank you for fixing the issue with the submission form.

I'm wondering why the name doesn't show on this screen (I've checked other performance tables and names appear for entries that are still being voted on)?

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/tinkle-pit-japan/mame

Edit: Two others have submitted scores today and their names show (including in the ESI section), so it can't be a problem with the track(?)

2nd Edit: Name's now appearing - just waiting to get it verified... :-)

MAME - Street Fighter. The rules give rom versions for the different MAME versions, which seem to require that you play on a significantly different rom set if you're using MAME .155 or beyond.

.154 and early specifies the World, Analog Buttons rom. .155 and later specifies the World, Pneumatic Buttons rom. I'm not sure how one would even achieve playing with pneumatic buttons in MAME. I'm sure there's a way, but I think the renaming of the roms didn't get posted right on this one.

I'm not sure how to tell what the correct rom should be for .155 and beyond (whatever the World, Analog Buttons rom got renamed to), but if someone can point me to a resource that would give the different naming conventions, I can make a suggestion on what the correct rom should be for .155 and beyond.

:edit: I did some digging and testing in current MAME versions. I believe "sfan" in the rules should be replace with "sfw". sfw is Street FIghter (World, protected), and is the analog button version.

Hi,

Spotted another set of copy & paste errors on my part. Could you change the following set of tracks to replace the "Dracula's Descent" with "Tiny Tim's Revenge" and close the parentheses for the difficulty:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/iron-maiden-legacy-of-the-beast/android/?track=tiny%20tim

So, for example:

Time Rift - Dracula's Descent - Tiny Tim's Revenge (Hard [Time]

should be:

Time Rift - Tiny Tim's Revenge - Tiny Tim's Revenge (Hard) [Time]

Thanks. :D

The track rules and additional information for Streets of Rage 4 for the PC should be changed to,

Must select the Arcade Mode from the main menu. After that you can select from
Normal or higher difficulty and then any character. This is based on your current
Total score of your new game and not the overall Lifetime points used to unlock
bonuses.

This would improve consistency among hardware the game is played on. Thank you.

'Mojave' is not a track included on Fast & Furious. It's only in the sequels. It needs deleted from this game.

I don't know what's going on either, but something is definitely wrong.

First of all, there are only 7 items listed under Twin Galaxies Records on your profile page. Of the 7 scoreboard links that appear in that section, 4 of them (circled below) lead to submissions that are clearly incorrect.

Using the first 2 scoreboard links as examples:

Example #1

The first link displays the 3D Starfighter scoreboard (see below):

There are 2 scores listed, and both are reported as being "IN PROCESS".

The link attached to your score actually leads to the following Accepted submission:

3DO (Goldstar & Panasonic Models) - The Need for Speed - Novice - Alpine - Route Time (fastest time) - 09:57.0 - john m brissie

The link attached to the kernzyp score actually leads to the following Accepted submission:

PlayStation 2 - Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec - PAL - Arcade Mode - Hard Difficulty - Class C - Special Stage Route 5 II [Fastest Race] - 08:49.788 - kernzyp

Example #2

The second link displays the 720 Degrees scoreboard (see below):

There is only 1 score listed, reported as being "IN PROCESS".

The link attached to your score actually leads to the following Accepted submission:

iOS - Angry Birds - Poached Eggs - 2-4 - 66,660 - Daniel Ocampo

As you can see, the links between the scoreboards and the actual submissions make no sense.

You can confirm that the other 2 circled links on your profile page appear to be similarly affected.

Profile Page - Broken Links

While we are on the subject of broken scoreboard links, I have a couple to report from my own profile page (circled below):

Out Run - Fastest Time

Scoreboard URL = https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=230330

Out Run - Points

Scoreboard URL = https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=19177

Both links generate the same error message (see below):

The error message is misleading, as the URLs listed above are redirected to:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game//mame/fastest-time/

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game//mame/points/

The Platform and Variation are both represented in the translated URLs, but the Game Title is missing.

In my opinion, the broken links reported in my previous comment will prevent future scores from being submitted successfully.

The URL corrections seem to be fairly straightforward (see below):

M.A.M.E. - Out Run - Points

Track ID

https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=19177

User-Friendly URL

Invalid URL = https://www.twingalaxies.com/game//mame/points/

Correct URL = https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/out-run/mame/points/

Need a rule added to all tracks for the game "International Rally" for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color. This game uses a password system for saving your data, mainly unlocked vehicles for progressing through the game. Using a password should be allowed as there are many games that already allow passwords for this reason. Pretty simple rule "Using passwords is allowed". Thanks

  • alarm

Top Gear Rally for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color needs to have a rule added to make the already rules not contradictory. Rules say you may use any unlocked vehicles, but the game uses a password system which is not allowed according to the Global rules and Policies (@barthax pointed that out, thanks buddy!). I already have scores accepted for this using passwords. So "Using passwords is allowed" should be added to the rules. Thanks

  • alarm

My previous two posts are linked in a way. Both International Rally and Top Gear Rally have in the rules "You may use any leveled up vehicle", however neither game has "Passwords are allowed" in them to counter the global rules and policies "No cheat codes" rule. So someone either has to unlock the vehicles they want to use in many hours worth of playing before they can submit times for fastest race (which I did), or we can save everyone the hassle of doing that and allow passwords to be used to retrieve your data you already unlocked.

Since I already have a leaderboard full of Top Gear Rally using leveled up cars that I retrieved using a password, I think adding "Using passwords to retrieve unlocked vehicles is allowed" should be added to all tracks in both Top Gear Rally and International Rally since the precedent to use passwords has already been established in Top Gear Rally. Besides, there is no advantage given to any one player by allowing passwords on these games. Once you unlock a vehicle, you have unlocked it, using a password to retrieve it is just old school game programming and should be allowed. Thanks

Greetings @admin staff , many thanks for the continued work on the site.

One of Twin Galaxies most accomplished gamers has a problem with his profile.
Bryan Wagner has several world records, including ones for BurgerTime and Rolling Thunder, yet they are not showing up on his profile.
This is likely due to the fact that he achieved some of these records in the aughts and it wasn't until later on in 2016 that his TG account became verified. Either way I believe this is something that needs remedied. He does have two performances that show up on his profile but they are his more recent Zoo Keeper submissions.

Here's his profile:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/bryguy

and here's his WR's which needs to be included on his profile that he achieved before having a verified account
