Well....thats an unfortunate side effect. The ESI tracker on the side of every leaderboard lists everyone's government name, might as well do it in that list too. Or at least put the name they have chosen at the time, be it birth name or alias, and just leave that be forever. Thats my opinion anyway. It pretty convenient having that name there.

The following Ultra Street Fighter 4 track shows the rules invisible:

Track: https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=199327

Submission example: https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/246190-PlayStation-3-Ultra-Street-Fighter-4-Points-1-237-000

Rules can only be seen when highlighting them with the mouse or CTRL+A:

Difficulty = Hardest

Rounds = 3

Time Limit = 99

Bonus Stages = On

Special Rules: This is a Single Player ONLY Variation for Arcade Mode. You may freely choose your controller configuration. You may freely choose from any available character. Continues are NOT allowed!

The game Pinball Jam on the Atari Lynx has a single track with invalid rules. The track is owned by Twin Galaxies and has a single score on the track from 2004, so no footage is available to evaluate. The track's title does indicate the player must use the Police Force table (two tables exist in the game).

The existing rules are:

"This game has no settings for the player to select, therefore no specific rules apply. Please use default settings. "

There are no defaults to the game as the player has to make a conscious choice to begin the game by either choosing "A" for "EASY GAME" or by choosing "B" for "HARD GAME" (capitalisation is game's depiction). As the score comes from the "every home console game can be played on Easy" days of Twin Galaxies, could TG see their way to explicitly adding "Easy Game" to either the track title or the rules, please.

No real sure if this is the proper place to say this, but I noticed something odd concerning ESI.
Normally, in my experience anyway, ESI for a particular performance is not calculated and added to a leaderboard or an individuals ESI total until AFTER that performance has been accepted. You will see here I submitted a performance on the Sega game RoadBlasters and if you look at the ESI on the side of the page you'll see my ESI has not been calculated yet:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/roadblasters/sega-genesis-sega-mega-drive/ntsc-points/
After that gets accepted mine and everyone else on that leaderboard will have our ESI recalculated, giving me about 1 ESI point and everyone above me an additional ESI point.

OK, thats all fine, thats how this works in my experience, but I was looking at the Sega Genesis Tetris leaderboard and noticed on the ESI chart on the lefthand side of the page that user Simon Laroche has already been given 4.54 ESI when his submission hasnt been accepted yet, and very well may not be accepted.
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/tetris/sega-genesis-sega-mega-drive
I went to his page to see if the ESI had yet been added to his ESI totals, and indeed it has
https://www.twingalaxies.com/simon
He has a total of 8.10 ESI, 3.56 of which came from Tetris on Phillips CDI, which has been accepted, but the other 4.54 ESI comes from his Sega Tetris submission, which has NOT been accepted, and may not be.

Brief typo in a track title by myself. Could the following track be altered to read 5 Laps and not 2 Laps, please.

This rule is set at the platform level so we cannot remove this just for one track.

It ought to be removed from all tracks, then, because it's nonsense. Renaming INPs does absolutely nothing to facilitate INP analysis, and likely does just as little to speed up adjudication. But what do I know? All I do around here is INP analyses and MAME adjudication

This naming suggestion was the result of a fairly lengthy community discussion and request to put it in place.

That may well be so, but the fact is that, during analysis, INPs are treated as having the same name as the ROM being used. So, renaming INPs is utterly pointless. If you'd like to confirm this, take a look at the "What MAME thinks" section of any of the analyses I've posted

I dont doubt what you are saying. At the moment I cant recall specifically why the community wanted the naming to be this way but I'm fairly certain it did not relate to the point you make above. I believe it was in response to some other set of concerns/desires.

I will try to find it when I get time and we can see if the rationale still makes sense today.

Some history is behind this:

Humans behave differently and not everyone does things the same way. Some analysers preferred to download a bunch of INPs, extract them all and then process the extracted content - they're not necessarily doing so to supply comment on the threads.

The convention of supplying the analyses is something I wished I hadn't started. :P
