I can't properly create derivative tracks for "Cocoto – Kart Racer" (there are fifteen different circuits in the game).

Take a look at the screenshot below to see what happened when I added a derivative track in the usual way.

I bet that this issue is due to the dash ("-") in game's name field, maybe using a colon (or nothing) instead would have been a better choice, lol.

I'd be grateful if you could fix this issue.

Right, they probably used a different character for the dash. I personally think that using non-standard and non-English characters in track titles - even if they're in the game's title - should be frowned upon because it leads to issues like this or the tracks being virtually impossible to find in normal searches.

(Another example are track titles written in non-English characters, such as Japanese - I think they should be translated into the closest official English translation possible).

This issue is fixed and we have merged these duplicate games.

Hi,I've added a new Game to Twin Galaxies.

Viper Phase 1, MAME category.

I listed the wrong version of the game. "Japan New Version" is wrong. It should be "New Version World".

Romset is correct:viprp1

Can admin fix this? Thank you

When one goes to 'Community' > ' Member Activity Rankings' the group featured dead center in the middle of the page is "Credibility Index" and a Banned member who had thousands of records deleted from the database for fraud is featured with a picture of himself at the #2 spot?

I just think about newcomers to this website, they click one of the words on the header bar at the top of this website and are brought to the 'Credibilty Index' which a newcomer would rightly think to mean "Those who are the most credible members of this community"....and then they find out the 2nd most credible person is someone who's been banned and had their records stripped. I just think it lends credence to a perception TG is combating and should be removed.

Furthering my last comment, you could make it so that anyone who is PERMENANTLY BANNED FOR CHEATING (and only those cases) automatically has their credibility lowered to zero. That way you wouldnt have to do something special for this case, and it would take care of potential future issues like this.

I'm pretty sure this is similar/the same as @Snowflake has reported before but now that the ESI is being displayed at the variation level, it can be seen plain:

The symptom: when a score is accepted on a variation, the ESI is recalculated to include those IN PROCESS submissions.

haha you dont know what you're opening. when i report this bug the programmers just swap it out with a second bug when i report the second bug they swap back in this one. after bouncing back and fforht betwen the two each time i finally realized i was in an infinite loop and gave up.

enjoy the

10 report bug1
20 watch bug 1 be fixed but bug 2 created
30report bug 2
40 watch bug2 be fixed but bug 1 created
50 goto 10

is this really so bad, guys? if it's re-calculating the 2nd thru 4th places, then oops, but showing the esi before it's hatched is at least interesting. :P

edit added: i also didn't consider mebbe it's temporarily giving Pete there both counts of esi...

correectly it ultimately self corrects in the end. for global esi that stills a problem though since theres bound to always be someone somewhere getting the count wrong.

the real issue is when combined with mulitple submissions at once. the bug bounces between giving you all esi for all your duplicate subs (orslighlty improving sus) added up, when that should be impossible since one going through deletes the prior. when that gets fixed the bug becomes if you have multiple subs on the same track, then whenever one goes through you get credit for the highest submitted.

but yeah i stop reporting it forever ago. its just not worth the hassle of being in the infinite loop of reporting for a bug, which at least to me, really doesnt matter that much

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like none of this was ever a problem until pending submissions started getting displayed on the scoreboards

Pending subs were displayed before ESI was added. It just wasn't noticed for ages after. Ultimately, it's a temporary issue per occasion. Worst case scenario is if one player subs a series of contentious subs t the same variation: one accepted sub and the individual temporarily gets handed multiples of ESI for surpassing their own scores.

They are the different views of the same track. The first is the view of the entire game on the scoreboard and the second is the view of the MAME platform for that game. As the game on the scoreboard only has one platform with one track the different views look the same.
