Could you please check the original database to see if this score was zero or there was an error in the conversion before I create a dispute?

Thanks,
John

The current TG acceptance is for any version of WolfMAME. The rules (not additional info) should reflect what is acceptable. Just my tuppence...

Hi sdwyer

We will delete the track . Please do not raise a dispute .

Please either resolve whatever issue is preventing me from submitting the dispute, or just delete the score/track right now. The track is called "test-ddfdf" - it's clearly bogus.

Could someone do some looking into the Twitch video import in submissions? I find that when I try and use it, there's some fair percentage of the time that it fails, and I have no clue why.

For example, this recent submission of mine:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthr...gela-Stefanski

I used the same URL for the field in the submission as I included in the description for the submission (which I tried to make not embed, so people could see the URL, but I failed in that). Clearly it works in the description, so I don't understand why it didn't work in the twitch import field?

Is the system properly trimming whitespace off of the beginning and end of the string? Is there a retry mechanism when it tries to pull the video in case some sort of transitory connection issue comes up?

It's just frustrating to use it for a submission when it feels completely out of my control as to whether or not the video gets pulled in properly, especially as there's neither a way to preview it to make sure the URL is correct, nor a means to edit it afterwards in case something does have an issue.

(I REALLY REALLY think that submissions should be editable by the user, with the proper mechanisms to make sure it's not abused.)

Hi Gibgirl

I have submitted a request to check this video .

We are making changes to the submission process in the following ways

1) We are introducing a feature where the users will need to type the score twice to avoid typos

2) We will introduce a video playable and upload success feature which will not allow the user to proceed if the upload failed .

The picture you guys added for C64 Mario Bros is for the "Ocean" version. The correct version is the "Atarisoft" one. It wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't actually say "Ocean" on the picture. Anyone not clicking on the rules, will assume the Ocean version is the way to go.

Here's a pic of the Atari version's opening screen you can use :

Could someone add the missing "l" character to Roller Coaster in the title for https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/hi.../3?ref=fbshare please. :)

On mobile browsers, there's no "submit" button on the page where you enter a reason to report a post.

Found it is there on desktop - so mobile-only users can't report posts.

Submission issues:

1. When attempting to use the red "insert image" button, file attaches but a red arrow error indicator appears. If you mouse over the arrow, it says "undefined."

To circumvent this, I snipped and pasted an image directly into the message box.

When attempting to attach an image here in this thread, the same error occurs.

2. When attempting to attach an INP file using the grey manage attachments button, a red arrow error appears. If you mouse over the error message, it says "upload failed."

In this instance, the INP file actually upload to the submission. In the past, the INP failed to upload.

To circumvent this programming, in the past I would copy and past the INP file into a new message once the submission thread was created.

These errors were noted when submitting the following:

Site wide page load times can often stall and take upward to 30-60 seconds to load. There is no obvious pattern or specific page to report as these long load times appear to occur at random. This has been going on at least for the last two weeks or so.

There is something wonky with the new track marketplace.

Yesterday I launched this track:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthr...re-NTSC-Points

I filled in all the fields like normal, everything appears on the above page normally, but when I search on the game from the game list and click in to it, the url appears as this:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/nt...ainment-system

The track name appears where the game name should be in the url.

Then I noticed the Coleco version of the same title is appearing the same way:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/nt...s/colecovision

Also yesterday, after launching the first track, I launched this track:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthr...on-NTSC-Points

Again everything appeared normal in the marketplace forum.

But when you search on that game from the game list and click in to it, this is the url:
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/ntsc-points/pc-engine

There is still no pattern to report. When the delays occur, I've noted the browser indicating that it was waiting for twingalaxies.com, googleadsense and facebook.

Sometimes a F5 refresh works by replacing the previous request.

This occurs dozens or more times throughout the day when navigating through the site.

@Max,

I've had slow page loads on TG for over a year now and it's the only site I have issues with that I use on a regular basis. I dont know if it's an issue with their servers or poor site optimization but it's really frustrating

Thanks Craig. TG was actually pretty solid page load wise for quite a while (at least on my end) but now it's like browsing on a 2,400 baud modem when these page load issues pop up. I was hoping I was the only one who was impacted, but have heard from several others with the same issues.

I'm pointing it out an the admin staff page in the event TG was not aware of it. Last I knew they were using Amazon servers. While I'm no techie, given how consistent the slow page loads are, it's probably safe to cross off server stability as the issue.

Regardless, hopefully TG can correct this issue for users.

I'm averaging around 15-20 seconds waiting for pages to load.

Both of the following tracks don't redirect to the friendly URL properly.
https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=7866
https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=7867

It looks like they should be filed under the following game entry...
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/su...an-namco/mame/

The Midway variants appear to be OK.

Hi Max

Are you open to having a teamviewer session for us to understand the issue that you are facing

The html code is appearing in the track rules on some pending submission forms. Here are a few examples.
