The rules do not reflect the changes that have been made by staff to these variations. The original titles were once correct and now my own submissions appear incorrect and may become disputed. Please update all the rules notes including what the titles used to be in order to ensure my original submissions are not disputed.

I thought ALL changes made by staff to tracks were being documented associated with the tracks?

This issue is not fixed.

Note the track still shows two "records" even though only one score now exists. Also note, ESI is being earned despite no competition on the track.

We're on this - the changes will be restored.

Hi Dave, this behavior is observed in the two disputed that were just removed, China Warrior and Columns, where the "records count" still seems to still include the removed scores.

And also note, while these individual tracks are off (a very small issue), the larger issue at hand is why is this occurring systemically and how can the programming be adjusted to avoid this in the future?

So it does. It's not the appropriate day for someone to be fooling around so it must be real. Can we make this issue go away please @admin staff

While browsing through the leaderboards I noticed this on the NES section:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/boogie/nintendo-entertainment-system

This game was released in 2007 for PS2, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. Unless I'm missing something, the game shouldn't be featured in the NES/FAMICOM/DISK platform. Please remove.

Since friendly URLs were introduced, the above track (Points - 1 life - 1st floor only) seems to be lost in limbo. It redirects to here, but this specific track doesn't appear.

I believe it has something to do with the original game entry being "Kung Fu Master" while the track above was founded under the slightly different name of "Kung-Fu Master"... with a hyphen.

pass-fail tracks have never been properly dealt with at tgsap -- i hope to submit next saturday so this isnt just a theoretical, it will be affecting me shortly

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/advanced-dungeons-dragons/intellivision

here are multiple issues with all pass/fail tracks

1. they no longer say pass fail. it seems to be 0/100 -- which is fine i can work with that, however .....
2. 100 used to be pass and 0 fail, now 0 is pass and i dont know pass is, whatever but...
3. theres another column with no title and no apparent reasons with all 100s in it. at a minimum this is confusing and clutter and may indicate a larger problem

I guess i could submit a "0" for my pass (assuming i pass), but when the above bugs eventually get fixed and things reverted to how they once were, i'd hate for my score alone to remain a 0.

note: i'm not suggesting pass/fail tracks return to TG, i have no plans to create new pass/fail tracks. but for the ones that already exist, well tracks that already exist which are counting towards others wr count, its only fair we also get to compete on what they competed on.

This is more the modern scoreboard being poorly designed when it comes to using the old scoreboards' Percentage-based tracks (and potentially, more accurately, the old scoreboards' munging of the prior scoreboards' Percentage-based tracks but this step can't be undone). The modern scoreboard has approached each one separately and this has caused different versions of the same problem expressed on the current scoreboard. For example, the Wii Play track "Find Mii" began with the same problem: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/wii-play/nintendo-wii/find-mii-stages-completed/page/1?ref=fbshare - this is a game which has an integer score between 0 and 99.

Interesting. I did assume jaces tg messes it up didn’t realize he just inherited the problem. That’s no excuse to not fix it though. If these tracks aren’t going to removed then they need to be fixed

Hi @Jace Hall ; Admin, Fix-it-people:

Can you folks please fix this score on Intellivision Flashback Motocross:

Roger's score of 56 seconds shows up as 0.056 seconds; that's a really tough time to beat

I requested this fix a dozen times last year and I gave up asking.

Kindly either fix that score or remove my score from that track. It shows as a really, really awful time of 55 seconds for me, while the top score is 0.056 seconds.

I would really appreciate it.

Thank You.

@Rogerpoco do you remember if you entered this wrong? If you entered it correclty, and site screwed up, you might want to preemeptively challenge it yourself. I'd hate to see this stick for a while, everyone forget about it, someone who doesnt know the back story challenge, and then all adjudicators who correctly voted yes take a hit. a preemptive challenge explaining what happened might help ensure when they do finally get around to it, it gets fixed instead of removed

It's been a long time, but I think what happened was the track was set up before TG added their current fantastic system of "Minutes" "Seconds" and "Milliseconds" AND the double-entry to ensure no human error. When Roger entered it way back when, I think there was an error on the track-creation in that it only recorded milliseconds by mistake. So Roger entered "56" and it came out as "0.056" seconds.

They fixed the format to be "seconds" by the time I entered my score. That's why mine is the right format.

This track is like a thorn in my side :) I remember that I spent 2 hours trying to beat Roger's darn great score :)

I entered it correctly, the site definitely got it wrong-I hope Admin can fix it, but it's kinda a thing where since I did input the score correctly, the onus is on someone else to unlazy and fix it-I have many, many scores that don't show up on the scoreboard at all, and TBH I'd more likely spend this kind of time trying to get them fixed.

So far I've had a couple of very, very simple score disputes-that took around a year to resolve, so I just don't see me spending much time in that area of TG.

Definitely needs to be fixed, PLEASE don't misunderstand me.

I was always thinking this would be a quick fix !! Even if they can't fix the score, they could delete it and re-enter it correctly. I don't think it's very time consuming.

Roger, you say you have many scores that don't even show up? That's not good either !

It kind of makes us feel like hamsters on a wheel :)

@rogerpoco - I apologize for bringing it up; but every time I play Motocross, it gnaws on me.

No worries-I actually was going to bring this score up here recently, because Admin had been really working to keep up with fixes-I SWEAR-the reason I didn't is because you had bugged them time and again to fix it and they never did, and if I asked(knowing it would be the "right time")and they fixed it right away, that would look pretty poopy, too(even tho I knew the time was prime to ask).

And honest, the lazy-it's real, lol-I have no idea what scores I have that don't show up, I only know several members have mentioned one or two here and there to me-again, not my "problem" to keep up with, should be automatic, my hope is that whatever they are, they will show up someday...

I just have too many to keep up with them all.

:)
