Hey guys. On the browser I was using, the site was insisting on a three digit millisecond, and wouldn't let me enter just two. Backspace and Del appear to work in the opposite way also. Is there a way to allow users to enter just two digits here, depending on the game?

I have since figured out that Chrome works ok, by adding .880 for example. I've had quite a few people vote for these so it would be a huge pain to re-submit now. Would someone be able to please update them both to the correct times? I'll know what to do in the future now to get around this :)

The implementation on the scoreboard is a point of contention but it is factually correct: the website asks for milliseconds - milliseconds are always multiples of 0.001 - and so the website asks for three digits. If you have two decimal places, it's a centisecond and if you have one decimal place, it's a decisecond. Lots of people have been caught out by this - including me.

The advertised claim on a submission thread cannot be changed - this is TG policy - and so just ask people to vote No on those submissions where this has happened & then post them again as milliseconds.

For example, 88 centiseconds is 0.88 and is also 880 milliseconds = 0.880.

Is anyone else getting the issue where they get a notification of new comments on a submission but when they click through to the submission the new messages are not displayed?

Could the difficulty rule for Mega Twins (World 900619) on MAME be updated to reflect the changes made in MAME over the years, please.

- 0.148u5: Andrew Gardner added QSound internal DSP ROM to the device. Added DSP16 (4MHz) CPU3. Sonikos fixed 'Difficulty' dipswitch which has in the tab menu values from 1 (easiest) to 8 (hardest) but in the game's menu it's from 0 to 7.

Difficulty options up to: 0.148u4: 1 (Easiest), 2, 3, 4 (Normal), 5, 6, 7, 8 (Hardest)
Difficulty options from : 0.148u5: 0 (Easiest), 1, 2, 3 (Normal), 4, 5, 6, 7 (Hardest)

Can someone please add images for Time Crisis MAME track, as well as Power Stone Arcade track? The images from their current alternative tracks would be fine to copy and paste. Thanks :)

FYI - When this happens, I will try to fix it manually if I am available and alerted. However, it's best not to wait for that and instead just do as @Barthax suggests - as I may never see it or be able to get to it within a reasonable amount of time.

3rd and 4th video deal with submitting a performance.

5th video is dealing with the looking at submissions.

6th video is dealing with inactive dispute that I can't view

Here are some issues I'm having with submissions and I provided 2 videos describing the issues.

It seems to act different sometimes. This time it didn't do what it seems to normally do.

If feels to me like its time related sometimes and other times it seems like it has to do with interaction of the site

and if it keeps the information between pages or going back and forth. Sorry not able to clarify more clearly.

The other issue is with the TG Records. You can do most anything at the beginning. After you have used several of the drop down menus it will just sit there and spin it's wheels, it looses it's brain or something.

Thanks for looking into this, maybe it will help with some other issues as well.

Might also be related to this same issue

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/mame-5-minute-challenge-2023

If you look at view all submissions you will find an accepted score by myself.

The only thing I can think of is that I submitted a lower score which you wouldn't think anyone

would do but I did for an educational purpose. When a submission that beats a previous submission

that is still in the que, the submission that is still in the que will be stripped of references to track and rules.

Could the rules for Jin on MAME be updated to clarify the changes in MAME over the years, please.

- 0.186: Identified some DIPs for Jin [Osso]. Added dipswitches 'Coinage', 'Lives' and 'Level completed'.

TG Game Entry: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/jin/mame/
Rules, Points: https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=75146

Some preamble due to the text of the current rules:

If the rules are exactly followed, the game is impossible to play as it will not accept coins (see Jin's MAME 0.106 IN2 example from source code snippet on https://www.twingalaxies.com/wiki_index.php?title=Game:MAME-History-J-ROM-sets ). The rules are also the exact opposite of the defaults and so I believe the rules are simply a typographical error which intended the defaults. I notice that TerenceW came to the same conclusion in 2018 - he noted as much on the Discussion thread of the track.

Current Rules:

ROMSet: Jin

Unknown 1-12: Off

Unknown 13-15: On

Special Rules: None

With the above, note I have checked each of the INPs from the TG INP archive and all conform to the MAME 0.106 defaults (Unknown 1-12 On; Unknown 13-15 Off) thus confirming the rules have the typo. Recording available on the Replay portion of the wiki: https://www.twingalaxies.com/wiki_index.php?title=Historical:The-Old-Twin-Galaxies-INP-Archive-Replay-Videos

I repeated the tests from TerenceW's work & can confirm his findings - the changes at 0.186 map to the following (TerenceW's original text):

- Coinage: A 1C/1C B 1C/1C [default, moot]
- Lives: 3 [default]
- Level completed: 55% [note that this is no longer the default setting!!!]

Could the rules, therefore, be updated to the following:

ROM Set: Jin

Lives: 3

Level Completed: 55%: note that this is not the default setting for MAME 0.186 onwards.

Note: for MAME version 0.185 an prior please set the first 12 Unknowns to On and the final three Unknowns to Off (this is default for these MAME versions).

Thanks. :D

I came across a bit of a video clock glitch tonight, as I found these three frames in sequence, as you can verify a bit by observing the changes in the animation of the game. I have no idea if you can re-create this--for one thing, I notice whenever I open a video a 2nd time to observe the times by the thousandths, the thousandths numbers are different. But I'm not pulling your leg. :) I haven't seen this mentioned before.

1st screenshot--0:49:59.966
2nd screenshot--0:49:59.000
3rd screenshot--0:50:00.033

In the 2nd screenshot, the minutes & seconds should be a second more, as it should read 50 minutes 0 seconds, not 49 minutes 59 seconds.

In the additional rules, please could someone add the following:

Crosshair must be disabled in MAME.

As well as a valid INP, submission must show the player at all times to verify controller inputs.

Missing score from scoreboard.

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/260836

It was an accepted score. I later submitted another score but lower for "educational purposes"

During this time it simply removed the score. Once the second submission was rejected it

removed all track and rules information from the accepted submission and never put it back onto

the scoreboard.

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/260911

This one is still being voted on. It was submitted before a new higher score was submitted

and accepted. This one is now stripped of track and rules info. Seems like these two issues

are because of being stripped of the track and rules info and then no reference of where to be

put.

@Jace Hall

I waited patiently for a month now.

#1 Can you ask @admin staff to DELETE the track SUPER BIKES 2 BY RAW THRILLS.that no records or picture it is not needed.

There already a Super Bikes 2 already with 25 Twin Galaxies world records and a picture.

Thank you and God bless 🙏 you.

Thank you

So I think I found a printing error in the Lock 'N Chase Arcade manual & subsequently the TG dips switch settings. The rules read for an Upright Cabinet SW7 on, & SW8 on. However, SW8 needs to be off on an Upright cabinet because SW8 is in regards for monitor orientation. Having both on prevents a two-player game and orientated monitor for a two-player cocktail machine. Both off will cause the monitor and controllers to flip & invert. This is for Bank A. Bank B is fine as printed.

Should be SW7 on, SW8 off. In a typical Upright cabinet. (pcb Version) a DECO cassette would have a different set altogether.

Can anyone confirm?
