Hi, I recently tried to submit a time for Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Nintendo Wii but for the NTSC - Stadium - Target Smash! Level 2 - Pikachu submission there is a weird glitch so you can't enter in the time seen here:

Is there anyway to fix it?

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/jersey-jack-the-hobbit-factory-default/pinball

"Factory Default" should be removed from the title, that is a track notation (which already exists), not a game title notation.

"Jersey Jack" should either be relocated after "The Hobbit", for more accurate sorting, or removed altogether as there is no other Hobbit machine this needs distinction from.

There's a formatting issue with the Street Fighter Champion Edition leaderboard - it won't display the port for the PC Engine and it doesn't appear in the drop-down menu

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/street-fighter-ii-champion-edition/pc-engine/highest-score/

Here's the submission for the PC Engine port:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/204668-PC-Engine-Street-Fighter-II-Champion-Edition-Highest-Score-971-200-Chris-Gleed

From a search through the View Leaderboards page, it looks like there's supposed to be 4 records on that track

HI !
there are 2 submissions that seems to be in wrong tracks:

from USERS

Daniele Cavazza
Koos Van Dyk

from this track :
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/e-...1-player-only/

should be moved to this track (same game but hard difficult track):
https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/e-...rd-difficulty/

in MARP you can see the same submissions, but done in HARD difficulty (not NORMAL as they are submitted already in TG )

http://replay.marpirc.net/r/eswatu

http://replay.marpirc.net/r/eswat

here is also screencap for quickcheck:

Pete Hahn ( and i agree with him) time ago told that he have seen that those two record most probably were done on HARD difficult instead of NORMAL. sincewe found impossible to reach taht score on NORMAL setting

here is his post:

also here is a reply for that from Almighty Dreadlock user:

I was going through PS1 games when I noticed there were 'Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX' duplicates:
1. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/mat-hoffmans-pro-bmx/playstation
2. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/mat-hoffman-pro-bmx/playstation

then I got to looking at them further and it appears the second one was created because the tracks creator wasn't aware of the existence of the original track. Furthermore, when they authored the rules and description for this track (#2) they never specified what level should be played, making the track unsubmitable. There are no submissions on it now and there never will be because of how it was written.

IMO the second one should be deleted alltogether. If you want to merge them, well thats better than how it is now, but that track will never be submitted to the way it is.
It may or may not be worth noting the track was created by a single member, it was made before you had to have at least 2 others agree that the track should be created.

So Im going through the submissions when I see on the right hand side of the page in the "Recent Activity" box that RogerPoco just made a comment on a submission.
This reminds me there's something I want to DM Roger about, so I right-click his name in the "Recent Activity" box and click "Open Link in New Tab".
This should take me to his profile, but instead it takes me to this page:
htpps://about:blank#blocked

I know Roger hasnt blocked me either.

Now of course I can get to his profile other ways, this just seems like a glitch you should be informed about. I've had this happen to me several times in the past as well.

Greetings @admin staff , sorry to bombard you with 3-in-a-row but I found another duplicate. Ive been sorting through the PS1 leaderboards more in depth like I did with the Sega Genesis leaderboards a few months back so I'll probably find some more of them if they exist, so there's your warning lol

Duplicate PS1 X-Men VS Street Fighter tracks:
1. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/x-men-vs-street-fighter-1/playstation
2. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/x-men-vs-street-fighter/playstation

I dont know if they're tracking the same exact thing or not, so Idk if the actual tracks themselves should be merged, but both tracks SHOULD be listed under the same game, at the same web address.

OK, Thanks Mr Bugman. I never looked that far into it so I wasn't sure, I just knew they're supposed to be listed under the same game name instead of being at two different web addresses.

Btw, I recently picked up an xStation and have been going through the PS1 leaderboards and you have some very impressive scores/times on a number of games, particularly a handfull of fighting games and HydroThunder. HT is probably one of my all time favorite games. Idk if I'll ever be able to submit to the PS1 tracks though cuz your times on it are fantastic, I got my work cut out for me.

Just a thought I wanted to put out there, maybe when people are banned for speech violations (or non-cheating suspensions generally) rather than giving them the same treatment as cheaters, instead they could be banned/suspended from making comments, making any wall posts, or doing anything OTHER THAN voting and submitting.

These players didnt cheat, if you just follow reason alone one should be able to see why they should still be able to submit, and only submit. If someone is banned from TG for conduct/speech and they are a talented gamer they WILL submit those performances to other venues which track high scores.

Even when one is banned on FaceBook, which I'm experiencing now unfortunately, they still let you use Facetime and FB Messenger, they still let you read your feed, browse and conduct commerce on FB Marketplace, etc, BUT they disallow comments, posts, and reactions and everything else because its those things that got the user in trouble.

Just because these people made statements that many would find unkind and unbecoming doesnt make their gaming achievements any less credible or less relevant.

If they're in trouble for commenting, take away their ability to comment, but leave their ability to submit intact.
If after having their ability to comment suspended they abuse the TGSAP system and violate the TG TOS in their Submission Messages or something else along those lines then THAT would be grounds to take away their ability to submit, but not up until that point.
IMO anyway.

Yea. Under what im trying to describe a banned member wouldnt be able to comment on submissions, only vote. The only words they'd really be able to type would be in the submission message of their submissions, and if they abuse that they lose their ability to submit.

As it has been pointed out many times by numerous people, there are likely world records out there on different sites that are equal to or greater than a TG world record, and there is no way of ever truly knowing who the best in the world may be at something because it is impossible to know all instances of achievement everywhere at all times.

This brings the questions of what does it mean to have a TG World Record then? What does it mean to be a TG community member?

One possible implication of @Excelliron 's statement is that perhaps the priority of a physical achievement should be considered more important than the context of conduct, behavior or perception of the achiever themselves. If so, does that suggest that's all TG is, and ever will be, is an ever growing list of numbers? The numbers are what's important?

Is that the meaning of being a member of the TG community? A Member is someone with a number on the TG list and no other considerations?

If the number is all that matters, then why celebrate and promote the person that achieved it? Under that context, TG should just celebrate the numbers.

Whatever the perception was of TG in the past, we can tell you that the forward going perception of what it means to hold an achievement at TG today is not just about the numbers. It is also about conduct, sportsmanship, and integrity.

Celebrated TG achievers should help represent to the public the spirit and desire for fair competition, the intention of being part of a welcoming community, and the goal of inclusion for all who seek to participate in the activity of playing video games in pursuit of achievement and recognition.

These intentions are all reflected in the Twin Galaxies Terms of Service that all members must agree to in order to participate here and if someone chooses to not adhere to the rules of course that is rightfully their choice - and that choice allows them to conduct themselves elsewhere and supply their numbers elsewhere. Twin Galaxies is more than just lists of numbers on a scoreboard.

Being a TG member is not a right - it is a privilege and it matters. There are many community members who have contributed so much to TG over the years for it to be the privilege it is today. TG itself is going to continue to work more and more to reflect into the public the value of the past, present and future contributions from the community.

The "benefit" of being a TG member will continue to expand. That expansion is not really driven from more numbers added to a list. It's driven more by a healthy, non-toxic, growing community of people interacting with a positive mindset.

To keep a membership at TG, members must stay within the TG TOS. Its that simple.
