Track with supposed "in progress" score since 2019 but link to submission thread is missing: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/steep/playstation4/technical-race-fractured-fastest-time/page/4?ref=fbshare . The submission thread no longer exists: https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/198801 .

What is disgraceful is how he has treated members and staff who try to help and that his "contributions" have made an absolute mess of things. Tracks can be re-created correctly, and his resubmissions would still be valid. This isnt about him, its about the integrity of this site.

Deleting his content is the opposite of integrity of anything. I don't foresee any use in continuing my end of this particular conversation.

I think you both may be half right

duplicates should be deleted but valid tracks that merely aren’t fun for others should remain

heck on the actual computers an edit is a deletion of the old and an addition of the new

he should be allowed for example to demand it must be in a cabinet just like the wreck it railph track despite objection of others but when he himself makes a new track to fix the old wording that’s pretty much an admission the old track should go

I agree with both Barthax and Sean. It is true that JJT has created a HUGE mess due to him being unable to understand simple concepts and rushing to do things. He has also insulted, belittled and harrased both members and staff into doing what he wants, but, deleting his accepted scores is something I would never support.

I would suggest deleting all the tracks that he has created that have no scores in them and removing his privileges to create more.

Currently only Rudy and jjt get to double dip on world record count by having exact duplicate tracks

so it’s not a major problem yet and with the new track creation system may never become a major problem

so perhaps this is very low priority but even low priority at some point should be handled

in this case of two tracks where the only change is fixing a typo perhaps delete tracks but merge scores so the scores remain ?

I think there needs to be a rule modification to the game Top Gear for the SNES. I think the rules should allow passwords to unlock tracks. There are already submissions accepted that use passwords, and for good reason. The game does not save, it has no time trial mode, you can not quit/restart races without losing or resetting the console, and the only way to play later tracks is to start from the beginning and beat every track in order just to get to the later tracks. Using a password makes sense.

I think the rules should be "You may use the password "Horizon" on the "UK" country selection screen to unlock all tracks". Otherwise there are going to be a lot of scores being disputed. This game should allow passwords, it sucks otherwise

I'm not hating on JJT, I've been trying to protect the guy and keep his tracks. However, when the simplest solution is to start from scratch, you start from scratch. Tear it down, build it back up from step one. This is often easier than trying to fix an issue here, an issue there. In landscaping, it's far easier this way. Then there is no problem to fix, it's all brand new. Everyone gets a fresh start to get it right.

I'll repeat what I have been saying about his rules in a few other threads and even one of the disputed scores here. I think the change needed is to change the wording of a few specific things in his rules and his track/submissions will be good enough for adjudication purposes and they won't make his scores invalid. You would still have those duplicate tracks that don't need to be there, and those should be removed.

In this instance, it wasn't just JJT contributing, many people tried helping him including staffer Franny (and got **** on severely for trying to help), but only one person was heard. And here we are. The others are trying to fix the issue. I think it's kind of insulting thinking I'm hating on the guy when I've been trying to get everyone to leave him be and find a way to keep his tracks knowing I'm absolutely on the unpopular end of the discussion. Whatever, I'm used to being misjudged. The whole situation has sucked and there is only one person to blame for that and it's JJT...that's about as much hate as I have thrown towards JJT. Moving on from this topic as well.

Here is a link to the post quoted above. I am requesting all tracks for this game have the suggestion about passwords put in place over the existing password restriction. FYI, It would not affect any accepted scores if the change was made. https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/top-gear/super-nintendo-entertainment-system

Stumbled on an unnecessary track for Rock Band on the Wii: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/rock-band/nintendo-wii/pal-soundgarden/ - TG track title is missing the music track and instrument. The correct TG tracks do already exist.

[Edit:] Found a couple more:

@Pixe Sukola

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/240637

I would like to add a special rule to a track I've founded a week ago. The reason is purely technical. I've founded Nintendo's Game &Watch "Green House" via MAME. I've submitted a game But for some reason the average recording speed of the game was about 80 percent instead of 100 (probably an emulating issue) .The speed issue was detected in the analysis of the inp-file.

Almighty Dreadlock suggested in the post to change the "Skip frame" value to 6 and that would bring the game to the original speed. He was right! I've played a test game ,changed the frame skipping value to 6 and the result was a perfect 100% average speed. I know that this is not acceptable under the MAME rules but this is not a MAME track but a Nintendo Game & Watch track! The game that I've submitted has passed the voting system (somehow..) here at TG and it stands alone in the leaderboard as a current TG record . BUT I'm not happy with it because it's not fair-I didn't play with the original game's speed. On the other hand- I DON'T want to open a dispute because members here would take a credit hit. The best thing is to add this rule that allows changing the frame skipping in order to reach the original speed and then I would submit a new game with the correct speed and my old game will automatically get vanish.

My submission is the only one in the leaderboard at the moment-so there's no concern of other submissions getting rejected or something like that

The rule I want to add:

Special Rule :Due to a known problem regarding the average recording speed- It is permissible to change the Frame Skipping value in order to reach the acceptable recording speed

Thank you so much

Cheers!

Reposting this:

Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness on Nintendo 64 has a track set up wrong.

NTSC - Pac Crackle Pop - Time Trial [Most Time Remaining]

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/ms-pac-man-maze-madness/nintendo-64/ntsc-pac-crackle-pop-time-trial-most-time-remaining/

The ranking should be fixed so more time remaining is better.

Very minor typos discovered on Project Gotham Racing for Microsoft Xbox. The titles of tracks using the word "Chrome" should lose the r of Chrome: they should be Chome.

https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/project-gotham-racing/xbox/?track=chrome

So "NTSC - Time Trial Lap - Shibuya - Shibuya 1-Chrome Mae" should be "NTSC - Time Trial Lap - Shibuya - Shibuya 1-Chome Mae", for example.

Random typo from myself: I have incorrectly named some of the Mexico '86 tables for Zaccaria Pinball (PC platform) as Mexico '96. Could someone put these back a decade, please: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/zaccaria-pinball/pc/?track=Mexico%20%2796

Just noticed 2 things about Soda Saga while I was submitting my scores.

1) The mobile game just lists the level number, but doesn't say anything about world or episode. It looks like that's purely a PC thing now, so I was hoping the names could get chopped so only the level number is shown.

2) I want to add a rule stating the track is level-specific but not design specific: this is so that if the level design changes either making it easier or harder to beat a previous score, it is not necessary to create a brand new track.

I do have a question however: when the change is made, will it also change how derivatives are made or will I have to manually add the new rules/naming conventions for each new level I create?

Whenever I submit a dispute, I immediately get a notification alert. When I click in to notifications, there are not actually any new notifications. I don't think this is a situation where an alert is needed.
