With the recent update completed we have now moved forward with the closure of the general public forum.

We are aware that some members may be disappointed with that decision, but we kindly ask that you bear with us through the growth process.

The recent update contained many site enhancements, some of which work to replace some forum convenience functionality.

For instance: Bookmarking specific wall posts (as many as you want) will allow you quick access to any thread that you want to keep track of. In order to Bookmark, just click "Bookmark" at the bottom of any Wall post and it will get added to your "Bookmark" drop-down menu listing on the site tool bar.

In addition, of course once you post in any thread/wall post you will then begin to receive notifications from that thread from that point on as well.

There is also the option of subscribing to a post, which will allow that post to show up in your Wall feed filter if you choose the "Subscribed" filter option.

Another thing to note in the update is the friendly URL assignment to user profile pages. This has now created a permanent Twin Galaxies location for your profile that is easy to find and google search friendly.

For instance, @DadsGlasses profile page is now www.twingalaxies.com/dadsglasses

This is super important because it can become an easy and standard way for friends, sponsors, team orgs, event planners, and etc. to rapidly find you and know about your gaming accomplishments.

We strongly encourage a members to take some time and really fill out their gaming history and accomplishments and anything else that would be great for people to know and to help guide opportunities their way. With all the upcoming things that Twin Galaxies has planned for Arcade, Retro, Fighting, etc. more and more attention and opportunity will be pointed here and we really would like members to be in strong positions to capitalize on it if they so choose.

You may have noticed with this recent update that you can now infinitely scroll down all members profile page walls to find any wall post that they may have made. Since we now have friendly URLs, any members wall feed is easy to find - you just add /wall after their profile link.

Members will be pleased to know that our engineering team has been furiously working on a proper site SEARCH function that traverses Wall posts, comments, news, the game database, player profiles, and forum archives and displays results in a friendly and easy-to-navigate way.

News articles from TG editorial now have a comment system, so news can be discussed among the community. Please participate. Your thoughts and views on the material is important!

Also, on the subject of news in general, please let us know what areas of news TG editorial is not currently covering that you would like to see them cover!

We are also looking into the creation of a TG Wiki within the site that the members can build.
