We are rapidly approaching the moment where Certificates will become available once again.

After much thought and debate, a decision has been made to try to limit the number of certificates created and place them as very exclusive, very premium items. This exclusivity will primarily be achieved through an elevated cost.

We not completely finalized on exact amount but the price will be notably high as a general deterrent against mass quantity creation.

Here is the rationale why:

1.) Generally speaking Twin Galaxies does not want to be in the certificate printing business.

2.) When someone does choose to purchase a certificate, it needs to feel special, exclusive, and premium.

3.) This is the future, everything is digital. Let's preserve trees!

4.) Generally speaking Twin Galaxies does not want to be in the certificate printing business.

Some notes about the certificates:

1.) They will have unique serial numbers.

2.) They will have the official TG seal that was used on all TG certificates from the beginning. All 1st place World Record scores will receive a GOLD seal (shown above.) All other rankings will receive a SILVER seal.

3.) You will be able to purchase them entirely with submission points if you have enough of them. It will likely take a LOT of SP.

4.) You will also be able to use SP to simply reduce the $$$ cost if that is your preference.

More info soon.

Stop feathering your own nest to gain advantage, Bill.

It would be more logical to stick with the theme of the certificate that Jace posted a picture of.

That is...

IF your first name is John and
IF you have a zookeeper world record and
IF your birthday is Sep 25th and
IF you are a 3 gold star member
IF such a person exists....then they should get the No 1 certificate!

I'm sure we can all agree on that, Hmmmm?

"Expensive" is a relative term. I am hoping it is what most retro gamers consider expensive: $5

I fear it is more like what pinball player considers expensive: $12,000

Too true!

Anyway, it doesn't matter to me what they cost, just means that for every $20 they cost that my kids will go without food for a day. That's fair. Yes?

But seriously, $80 cost is my GUESS?

Hello, I'm just wondering if there is any update on the certificates?

I'm definitely interested in purchasing for myself even if the price is high. I know this thread is a little old, but I couldn't find a more recent one. Please let me know if there is still a plan here and rough ETA on go-live or if this has been shelved. I really hope there is still a plan in the works..... I understand the world is more & more digital, but I think they would be particularly nice for physical arcade cabinet WR's where there isn't an instant internet connection to live leader boards. Thanks!!
