Dear Stan Lee - you were a friend and inspiration to me. It was an honor and a privilege to work, play and laugh with you. You changed the world for the better. We all owe you for that. Thank you for giving me character visions and ideas to aspire toward. It saved me.

My grandpa was a garbage man, so he dug a lot of spiderman out of the trash for me and my brother. My uncle bill ran a comic book store, and my best friend in elementary ran another, so between the three, I always had a comic book, and it was usually Stan lee...that was how I learned to read. I don't normally get torn up about a celebrity's passing, but with the influence this man had on my upbringing, I don't mind saying that this one hurts.
