Dear Community

As some of you must have noticed , we have the ALPHA version of Tournaments available for the community to test.

Over the course of the next few weeks , we would request the community to focus on Instant tournaments.

Instant tournament allows players to complete in a Ladder style tournament . Players will be able to submit scores as per the rules set by the tournament admin .

Any instant tournament will auto end in 48 hours unless the admin chooses to change the end date .

Please let us know your feedback on INSTANT tournaments only .

In order to avoid mistakes we will disable all other tournament types until we get INSTANT Tournaments perfected with your help .

I hope this made sense!

Thanks Jace. Will give it a try.

Some notes from the first instant tournament: We should be able to share the tournament to our TG blog. I don't know what Balatarin or Mix are, but I bet the TG app would be more appropriate.

Hmmm... Can't create a Tournment if I add a game. However, I can created a Tournament without a game.

Feedback: I cannot see a way to explain the tournament details to the players.

The Add Score process deducts 3 Submission Points without any indication that this is going to occur. The scores don't appear in Score Review. The only place that anything may have happened is _one_ "top" score for the player in the tournament. Of course, I only realise this after testing several submissions...

Do people participating need a Twin Galaxies account? Do they need to be verified? Do they need submission points?

Instant tournaments don't have the ability to describe rules or even enter a description for the tournament.

it is not clear to me how to upload a score. This instant tournament is active, but what do I do next?

  • alarm

I uploaded 2 scores to the tournament (which was the max I set) and received this error for a third:

1. This is a great spot to use the player's actual name.

2. "time to submit score" has not ended. Tournament is 2 days long.

Actually, it turns out because I was the only one who played and I submitted two scores, the tournament ended. So I would suggest better wording to let us know the tournament is now over.

Yes, to participate people need Twin Galaxies account.

Yes, they need to be verified.

No, they don't need submission points to participate.

It's working correctly from our side. Can you shared screenshot of your tournament before submitting.

This is the opposite of my experience - I have had Submission Points deducted for using the "Add Score".

Hmmm... I can't replicate the issue now. If I figure out what happened, I'll let you know. :)

tournament options do not appear in the app.

That is correct. ..And they may never appear in that app.

We may make a separate app just for Tournaments.

The first order of business is to just get the system rolled out and working in general.

App issues later.
