Dear Community,

We finally located, restored and have made the entire TG INP Archive available for the community to view and appreciate the great performances of incredible players!

You can access the Twin Galaxies INP Archive by clicking HERE.

Any member that would like to see a particular INP file attached to its corresponding score performance in the TG database must file a dispute claim with a short explanation and reference link (or directory path) to the INP that is stored in the TwinGalaxies Archive itself (this is to make sure that the attached INP has never left Twin Galaxies possession).

If the dispute claim is approved, the INP will be linked and the dispute will be placed into inactive status, maintaining a complete record of the process of the request to attach the INP to the performance in the database.

We are pleased to at last make this long lost information available and Twin Galaxies continues to work toward a greater and more transparent set of processes and support for the entire video game player community!

Thinking from the position of someone who has a vast majority of pre TGSAP submissions. It's no secret that the majority opinion here these days is that anything from the old TG era should be treated as suspect if not downright false.

As an alternative to clogging up the dispute system until next July I for one would be fine with downloading my inps from the google drive and, subject to getting the required MAME version working, using up a ton of submission points re-submitting them under TGSAP including the mandatory video evidence. Could also include a link to the file in the google drive.

Just a thought

Cheers

Rob

Now that the INP archive is available, I'd like to ask that a few previously disputed scores be moved to a new track, if possible. I don't know how to "re-dispute" something, so I thought I'd ask here. Maybe these disputes can be reopened so the INP analysis of the TG INPs can be posted and go from there? Thanks.

@Jace Hall

I've run across a couple situations where legit, valid INPs are contained within the TG INP Archive but don't have a corresponding score on their respective leaderboards.

Example:

Keith Heaton - Donkey Kong 3 (TGTS) - 291,300

The INP is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k4LD6vPG_VPkY7LX49T09KqwUXRKbdFl/view?usp=sharing

The appropriate leaderboard is here: https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=55855

As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with the INP, so I'm not sure why it doesn't appear on the scoreboard. I've found multiple instances of this happening; this score is just an example.

Is this score in the TG database, but for some reason isn't showing up on the scoreboard? Was it never verified? Does TG still have the submission information and/or would TG be able to verify that its submission/verification history? Regardless, what process would be necessary to get this score (and others like it) on the scoreboard? Thanks.

If the score is not on the scoreboard, then the reason is unknown. It could have never been verified, or other reason. New TG does not have the submission information as it was never received from previous owners. You have what we have.

There is no outside process or automatic possibility available for the score or others like it to be placed on the scoreboard. All scores today must go through TGSAP, and they must be submitted by the person who performed the score, under the terms of service.

If you (or anyone else) feel that those INPs are important to be front-faced or referenced somehow, members can always create a TG Wiki page with the INP and whatever information about the score data they believe is relevant.

The archive of the INPs on the TG google drive will always be available so people can access those performances.

@TWIN GALAXIES

Thank you for moving scores and attaching INPs in these "disputes." The recent request to move a DK3 score for Cory Egolf actually resulted in a different player's score being moved.

Original dispute/request:

https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/175925

Cory Egolf's score is still on the original leaderboard: https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=7724

Jason Corey Brittain's score from that leaderboard was moved instead: https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=235497

So, Egolf should be moved to https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=235497 and Brittain should be moved back to https://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?scores=7724, with the INP attached to Egolf.

Additionally, clicking on the INP attachment on the leaderboard results in a 403 FORBIDDEN error.

Thanks.
