Dear Community,

We finally located, restored and have made the entire TG INP Archive available for the community to view and appreciate the great performances of incredible players!

You can access the Twin Galaxies INP Archive by clicking HERE.

Any member that would like to see a particular INP file attached to its corresponding score performance in the TG database must file a dispute claim with a short explanation and reference link (or directory path) to the INP that is stored in the TwinGalaxies Archive itself (this is to make sure that the attached INP has never left Twin Galaxies possession).

If the dispute claim is approved, the INP will be linked and the dispute will be placed into inactive status, maintaining a complete record of the process of the request to attach the INP to the performance in the database.

We are pleased to at last make this long lost information available and Twin Galaxies continues to work toward a greater and more transparent set of processes and support for the entire video game player community!

I suspected the 2005 folder would have proof of stuff older & I find my Atari 2600 emulation submissions from 2003-2005. :D There is not just MAME INPs in here.

MESS INPs were acceptable once upon a time: https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/223453-Dispute-Andrew-Mee-Atari-2600-VCS-California-Games-EMU-Footbag-(Points)-Player-Andrew-Peter-Mee-Score-81-920

.. and Outlaw used to have a 13B variation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YFdN7aJd1Z0mFMioO--sullLRhwf-tMe/view?usp=sharing

Thanks for making these available...a couple of questions

1) Is it possible to make a separate category of "disputes" for this...specifically for verified games that are only going to have an INP attached, as opposed to true score disputes? That will make it easier for people to find these "disputes" during and after the process.

2) For certain scores, would it be possible to move them to a new track if it's discovered the INP was played on incorrect settings? I know for a fact some Donkey Kong 3 scores will fall into this category, and I'd rather seem them moved to a new track instead of completely removed from the scoreboard.

CRCs of each file inside the zip files. Should make locating duplicates a bit easier as they're sorted by CRC (from the Zip file, not calculated). NB: directories are listed as 00000000 CRC and corrupt files at the bottom of the list.

It seems silly to me that if a score was accepted and the INP is available and clear which score it belongs to, that it shouldn't just get linked to that score on the leaderboard.

It should get linked no doubt. The issue is knowing which one to link to which score. That's a lot of work to figure out so the dispute system is one existing way to organize the process and document it. That's all.

1.) I've made an engineering request to @admin staff - we will see what they can do.

2.) Yes.

I've started going through the DK series (dkong, dkongjp, dkong3, dkongjr, ckong) and there looks to be about ~957 of those games in the archive. I'll be ready to start attachment disputes and true disputes pretty soon.

I've concentrated so far on what facts can be easily established about the file extensions: C64, ZX Spectrum emulated submissions and AVI files. I was surprised to find C64 submissions rivalled the MAME submissions in a couple of months! Most files will be MAME so there's little point in searchig for INP or WLF files. :P

Oh, just noticed this from https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/223453-Dispute-Andrew-Mee-Atari-2600-VCS-California-Games-EMU-Footbag-(Points)-Player-Andrew-Peter-Mee-Score-81-920

We will keep this dispute inactive and it can be revisited at a later date.

Thank you.

Surely the association of existing evidence is the only exercise? Why the limitation of only MAME INPs?

Only the MAME platform has the INP upload / download implementation at this time.

My plan, at this point, is to go through the DK series and run the Barthax-esque INP analysis on everything as a sort of "re-verification" and proof that each INP is for the score being requested for attachment. I've already identified 131 INPs that match scores in the main DK track by name/date. Now the process of actually checking the INPs themselves begins. I will wait to start posting attachment "disputes" until I hear a yea or nay on whether those "disputes" will be separated out from true disputes.

I've extracted the version and rom set from most of the INPs (still inputting them into the spreadsheet & I messed up a little creating duplicate entries but the info is all there once cleaned up) and there's a sheet which orders everything by platform(with version)+game for quick reference.

I've completed the ROM set input and I've identified: 5 dkong MAME 0.101 and 550 dkong MAME 0.106. :) There shouldn't be any duplication but I can't ruled it out 100%. :(

This is where I stand...a mixture of direct inspection of archives and inference from filenames. The total is probably accurate, but I might find a DK 1-1 that's actually a DK NH, etc.

Good luck if you want to inspect everything still active via playback!

@Jace Hall One dispute every 24 hours is going to make this a pretty long slog...

It is not necessary to attach these INPs to the scores if you really think about it.

We can , of course, but since all the INPs are available in the google drive, that is all that really matters. People can get them there if they really need them in the meanwhile.

Does that make sense?
