disclaimer: not a tech, but i've listend to a bunch of people
from what i heard it is the same rom as original, but the machine uses emulation to run it. thats why among the emulations innacuracies is that in pacman a perfect score is higher than it was on the original

Thanks. Something else must be going on because you would need a banana distribution with odds in the trillions to one for that sort of score? (on original Ms.Pac)

The anniversary edition patched the game so it could play beyond the normal ms pac kill screen. It adds 120+/- boards which adds to the score without adjusting the fruit randomization.

Does anyone know if there is still a Kill Screen somewhere after the additional 120-ish boards, or can you just play forever?
In other words, is there a max out number of boards?
The picture shows a Pac Man type of split/kill screen. Not the typical Ms Pac one. Not an expert here, but there probably aren't enough dots/Ms Pacs/regenerative dots to clear it. I'm also guessing he went about the distance of TWO Ms Pac kills screens on his set amount of lives. Amazing for a game that you cannot pattern unless this version is that different.
