We have now finally implemented the ability for Track Founders to edit the track rules of the leaderboards they have created/founded as long as there are no scores contained on that leaderboard.

Once scores are on a leaderboard, Track Founders can no longer edit the rules.

Many thanks to @admin staff and his team for getting this implemented.

Please let @admin staff know if there are any bugs/problems.

Onward we go!

Is there a difference between a founder and a funder?

can't wait for someone to propose a track, get it active, then completely change the rules to something dumb that nobody agreed on

haha i was thinking with multiple founders there could be a real edit war. I guess people will just have to only donate to those they trust. It does beg a question though, can a founder refuse donations from someone if they're afraid the donator will abuse power?

This is the point of my question. Is a founder:

a) person who proposed the track

b) person who funded the track the most

c) person who funded the track even just a little

d) any combination of the above

I partially funded many tracks, but the system doesn't seem to acknowledge that in the stats.

any who donates even a little is listead as a founder, but for the leaderobard only the proposer gets credit as a founder so "founder" does seem to have multiple definitons.

good distinguishment, i too wonder which definiton TG is using here. I suggest definition A alone be used in this context to avoid the abuse the hat warns us about

So, where's the edit feature found?

I have a feeling the editing may only be possible if the entire game has no submissions--which would kinda suck, since games tend to have many variations on them.

I just made a track and accidentally entered it as integer points, instead of floating points. There's two scores on another track I made for the game a while ago. That other variation may be holding me back from editing this new one...or maybe I'm just blind and I'm missing where the edit feature is.

I'm ready to just make another variation for it-- I caught their post the other day about not having time to fix our mistakes anymore......nice! lol .---TG refs found the time to set up EVERY THING...and we got paid ZERO. Just saying... :)

So if I'm correct about the editing, then my error, and many other members errors will just sit here unfixed. Awesome. I'll dump more submission points to set it up again, no problem...But there will be an almost duplicate track that will confuse people. People make mistakes, so that will be happening all over the scoreboard...especially with @kernzyp around here. Boom.

Your first and last mishtake was mentioning my name.
I think your parents agreed that you was a mistake. They just never told you. The RaGe inside you is real. Now you know why. Mistakes are what build character and integrity. Things you don't possess.
Kaboom.

I went to try to rename the "International National" mistakes on GT6 but I see I only have the option to delete Tags on games now - that was unexpected.

No response. I guess I hurt their feelings.

Np, I'll make another track, which will basically be a duplicate, and the original can sit there doing nothing.

Oh come on! There are tracks right now with rules that need to be updated or made clearer that already have scores on them. Now you're saying it's impossible to change the track rules once there are scores on them? Even if the rules are incorrect or makes no sense? or makes TG look contradictory? lolz

They're not saying that at all. If there are scores on a track you go the Scoreboard Errors route like has been the case for years now...

A few days ago, they said that they don't have time to fix track errors anymore...

Ah. So you can edit the rules on your own as long as there are no scores on the track but if there are scores on the track you'll need the OK from TG through scoreboard error messaging like normal ?What about tracks founded by TG? If the rules are crap and i tell them to change or update the rules through the scoreboard errors thing, they will oblige? Cuz i think you know there are some tracks that are very old that to this day still has rule problems either because the rules are worded improperly or mispelled or just not enough info is given. So all i had to was complain in scoreboard errors and all of that would change? I just wanna know how effective going down that route would be and if it works for everyone.

Days?
I've been ignored for years apart from when I need a damned good banning.
To the point I'd have to ask someone else to ask on my behalf, all secret, and that...

If you actually want the answer you can go to the thread and see how effective it is. Or make a request yourself.

Does everything get changed/adjusted? Probably not. I don't follow it closely enough to know. I know that when I have made requests that revolve around spelling or clarification changes in which there are not repercussions for existing scores they have gotten taken care of in a timely manner.

Recently when a decided dispute resulted in a necessary rule change for multiple tracks over two games on the same console, TG made the changes without issue within a few days.

In my experience, limiting it to one game or relevant tracks at a time, being specific and friendly in your request, and providing the links they need makes things smoother and relatively quick. Your mileage may vary.
