Punisher: Arcade track advice?

Hi all,

Anyone have any advice on how I should do a track for Punisher on Arcade?

I have a USA PCB (930422)

The MAME track here is World (930422)

There's also a Japan (930422)

I know they all have differences - especially the Japanese version. Do they score different enough to warrant three separate derivative tracks?

If they are to be tracked separately, then the rules should highlight how to determine the differences (I know it's typically shown on a boot screen for many games of this era but if there's particular requirement, it should be documented how to confirm in the rules).

Yeah I would mention that. CPS 1.5 has soft dips accessed from the test menu which would be mandatory to show. When you exit that, the game displays it's region and version.

I don't have much experience with the Japanese track, but I would say that there is one major difference that I noticed is that if you do a jumping attack at the apex of the jump, the kick becomes a fire kick, which is much more powerful than a normal kick. That alone makes the World 930422 and Japan 930422 incompatible. I haven't experimented to see just how powerful the kick is or whether or not it will break through enemy defenses (like Scully's parry).

I have no experience at all with the USA one, so I cannot comment.
