The Fortnite Replay System was released yesterday, and even though the servers have been suffering from some severe downtime, we've accumulated our favourite creations from the replay system during the first day.

Fortnite’s Replay System was announced a few weeks ago during GDC 2018, and players around the world have been eagerly awaiting the release to unleash their hidden editing skills and showcase their gameplay from every angle. It finally landed yesterday in the v3.5 patch, and there’s been a plethora of creations posted online to places like Reddit and Twitter. We’ve scoured through some of the ones we’ve found and accumulated a list of our favourites.

The Tilted Experience

From YouTuber BeardedMurloc, this dramatic following of everyone that landed at Tilted Towers during a duos game to the lit beats of Tchaikovsky certainly captures everything that makes Tilted the life-changing experience it tends to be. From the swarm of players raining in, to the rapid hunt for the delicious golden chests, to the fights in close quarters combat, with players on almost every level of every building, hiding in corners like the cowards they are. Man, we can’t wait for Tilted to be hit by this meteor.

Cool Guys Don’t Look At Explosions

They blow things up, and then walk away.

The Black Knight is by far the most badass skin. Reddit user /u/GhostCR0’s Black Knight is even more so. This screenshot of a Black Knight walking away from his explosion, while pressing down the trigger on the remote explosive detonator, is certified epic. We can only imagine how many players were caught in the radius of such a blast, as he patrolled the map, exploding anyone that came across his path. Or, you know, it just blew up a wall and left the players unscathed as remote explosive tends to do, but we can dream dammit.

You Can’t Jump Through There

If you’ve ever been in the final two, hunting for the last poor soul who will fall to your bullet, only for them to die to the storm and leave you wondering where they were camping and how they could possibly be so incompetent to die from such a slow moving storm, here’s one example captured by Reddit user /u/beefanator696. A poor noob, hiding in the corner of a barn attempts to jump through a hole in the wall, before realising his efforts left him looking like a fool. We can be sure he won’t be doing that again.

Windows XP Makes A Return

She looks so happy among the flowers with her hand cannon.

The default Windows XP wallpaper is iconic; luscious green grass, a bright blue sky, with a few clouds giving the impression of a light breeze. People all over the world have recreated the famous image in various mediums, but /u/CirclesCs on Reddit seems to be the first to be inspired to take a similar screenshot in Fortnite. Featuring a hand cannon wielding Cuddle Team Leader, the luscious green grass remains but the bright blue sky has been replaced by the incoming storm, complete with a small FPS counter in the upper right.

Best Mates

Everyone knows and loves the original Best Mates video, where three friends meet while jogging to the sounds of Aha’s Take on Me. Epic took the dance and included it in the battle pass rewards for this season, and finally, thanks to the replay system, YouTuber Exion has recreated it. It’s truly incredible. If only players could move while doing the emote and it’d be perfect.

Wish Upon A… Meteor?

Doesn't it look beautiful?

Everyone and their aunt is talking about the impending doom coming to the Fortnite map in the form of the meteor in the sky. Reddit user /u/icecoldcoke319 took the initiative and flew up to the meteor with the camera in replay mode, and took this stunning shot of it falling down to the island below. Are there aliens inside? We can’t wait to find out at the end of the season.

The Airdrop Is Right

The Airdrop Is Right is YouTuber RailErik’s Fortnite spin on popular gameshow The Price Is Right, and he knocks it out of the park. Featuring Chomp Lady and Rex Man, they fight to the death over an airdrop. And quite literally over, as right from the get-go, they both try to outbuild each other without even bothering to take shots, instead going for the height advantage. Pick a favourite and watch till the end, especially when you see what the winner gets inside the airdrop.

Seven incredible creations that all utilise the new replay system in Fortnite, and we cannot wait to see what else the community manages to create.
