The H1Z1 Pro League will kick off this weekend with A-list special guests, Michelle Rodriguez and Kristine Leahy, helping present all the action.

With the H1Z1 Pro League very close to starting, all eyes are focused on how the opening will impact that landscape of Esports. To help kick things off with a bang, Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious, Avatar, Resident Evil) will be making an appearance as the special guest for the H1Z1 inaugural broadcast live from Las Vegas Nevada this Weekend. Joining her will be Kristine Leahy, co-host of American Ninja Warrior and FS1’s The Herd, to present this event to the live audience attending the H1Z1 Pro League season opener, as well as all the global fans tuning in to the Facebook broadcast.

The H1Z1 is set to make an impact when it kicks off this weekend

“With the insane growth and popularity of the Battle Royale video game format, anticipation for the start of the world’s first professional Battle Royale Esports league has been off the charts,” said Jace Hall, co-chairman of Twin Galaxies. “We can’t think of a better team to bring this spectacle to life than Michelle Rodriguez, avid gamer and one of the world’s most accomplished action movie and TV stars and Kristine Leahy, highly regarded network sports anchor and TV host.”

After this opening weekend extravaganza, Kristine Leahy will serve as the H1Z1 Pro League host, bringing all the action of the inaugural season to the fans watching at home as the major teams, such as TSM, Cloud9, and Echo Fox, compete over the course of the inaugural season. With the teams battling it out over two ten week “splits” in the state-of-the-art Twin Galaxies Sports Arena every Wednesday night at 7pm PT, Leahy certainly has her work cut out for herself.
