Season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale has finally arrived, and it has already brought major changes to the map of the popular battle royale title. The meteor that has been flying through the sky of Fortnite has finally landed, and it has destroyed Dusty Depot. Theories about the meteor first began with Tilted Towers as the main target, but a recent leak by a community member told players that Dusty Depot would be the intended target of the mass destruction caused by the meteor, and now it has finally been confirmed. 

The destruction of Dusty Depot is not the only major change that Epic Games has made to the map of Fortnite with the introduction of Season 4, as a completely new location by the name of Risky Reels has been added to the map. Players can find the new Risky Reels location north of Walling Woods. 

With Dusty Depot now a giant crater, Epic Games has shown that they are not afraid to dramatically alter the map of Fortnite. The leak that stated Dusty Depot would be the intended target of the meteor also stated that Epic Games will be looking to update the map on a weekly basis, which means that the Fortnite community can expect to see even more changes coming to the landscape of the battle royale title throughout the rest of Season 4. However, with Epic Games starting off the updates by destroying a section of the map with a meteor, it remains to be seen how the studio will top the explosive debut of the new season.
