Yet another dominating performance in the Overwatch League as the Los Angeles Gladiators Clean Sweep the Dallas Fuel to start Stage 4 strong.

These two teams are no stranger to close matches and tough clashes, but this time it was the Los Angeles Gladiators who proved the strongest on the field. Here’s a brief breakdown of the series.

The first map, Blizzard World, proved to be a difficult attack for both teams. Dallas went first, and despite throwing everything they had at the point, they were only able to secure 84.1% as the clock ran out. The attack from Los Angeles was more successful, but not by a lot. Los Angeles were able to reach the required capture percentage with 41 seconds remaining, enough to claim the first map.

The second map, Hanamura, was another opportunity for both teams to showcase their attacking strength. Dallas again took the first attack, and managed to secure the first point. Trying to keep the momentum going, Dallas moved to assault the second point, and after a tough battle, managed to claim the point with just 34 seconds to spare, giving them a little breathing space in the event of overtime. The attack from Los Angeles was similarly quick, as they secured the first point before rolling onto the second point. After another battle there, the Gladiators managed to secure the second point with time to spare, setting up more overtime battles for both teams. Dallas went first, and though they fought hard, there was simply not enough time remaining for them to get a good foothold on the map, leaving them with nothing. The attack from the Gladiators was much more successful, as they bullied their way onto the point and claimed the required amount with time to spare.

The third map, Oasis, was a back and forth showdown. Dallas came close to capturing the first round, reaching 99% before Los Angeles managed to take it away and claim the victory themselves. The second round was just as close, but in the opposite way, as Los Angeles were forced away at 99% and left to watch as Dallas claimed the round. The third and final round saw Dallas only reach 77% capture before Los Angeles were able to close out the game, winning the round, map, and series in one fell swoop.

The fourth map, Dorado, was the final chance for Dallas to fight back and claim something for themselves. Starting their attack strong, they were able to capture the first point before pushing the payload through the second. Despite a good bit of momentum, Dallas were halted just before the third point, and were ultimately held up there as the clock ran out. The attack from Los Angeles was a bit more successful, but the team was definitely more relaxed with the series already secure. The Gladiators were able to advance the payload through the first two checkpoints despite the tough opposition from Dallas. The clock would run out as they slowly inched towards the goal, but the Gladiators were able to reach the required distance in overtime, securing the map and the clean 4-0 victory.
