The reveal live stream for Battlefield V is later today, and we've got all you need to tune in at the right time, and what to expect.

Battlefield V was revealed last week, and it’s confirmed to be set during WWII, following on from the last instalment in WWI. This follows on from the huge Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII reveal event last week, and DICE have a huge task ahead of them if they want to impress as much as Treyarch did. But what are we expecting to see?

Note the WWII icons representing each team at the top.

Battle Royale and Single Player?

They all but confirmed the WWII setting last week with this teaser trailer, but that’s as much as we know so far. Black Ops IIII jumped on the popular battle royale bandwagon with their new Blackout mode, which promises a map “1500 times larger than Nuketown”. Battlefield is known for their large scale fights and maps, so if they were to implement a battle royale mode, surely they could do it on a much grander scale.

Treyarch have also opted to drop the single player campaign with this instalment. Could DICE follow suit? Battlefield’s campaigns have never been particularly memorable, but they have the opportunity to tell one of many WWII stories here, especially if they opt for the same ‘War Stories’ system they used in Battlefield 1. If they do continue with a narrative-focused mode, they’ll instantly have the upper hand for players that are keen on having a solo experience in their shooters.

When and where can I watch it?

It’s happening today: Friday, May 23, and goes live at 1pm PDT, 3pm CDT, 4pm EDT, 9pm GMT or 10pm CET. It’ll be hosted by Trevor Noah and you can catch it right here on this page, at the stream below.

Elsewhere in the first-person shooter world, Call of Duty: WWII players can play the DLC map Valkyrie for free this weekend, along with some triple double xp goodness.
