Ubisoft continues its success with Rainbow Six Siege at E3, announcing that the game has surpassed 35 million players and following up with a roadmap of esports for its latest season of Rainbow Six Siege Pro League.

Rainbow Six: Siege has risen to be one of Ubisoft’s premier esports experiences since its release in December of 2015. At E3 2018, Ubisoft proudly announced that the game has reached over 35 million players in addition to offering their roadmap for competition in 2018 and 2019 featuring the Rainbow Six: Siege Pro League and Invitational.

The news was announced shortly into Ubisoft’s E3 Press conference by Rainbow Six Siege Community Developer Justin Kruger. While toting the game’s roster of 40 operatives and generally free additions to the game, the special 35 million player mark was also announced, followed shortly by a road map of competition for the latest season of the Rainbow Six: Siege Pro League.

The latest season of the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League will begin on June 18, 2018 with a match between Rogue and SK Gaming. More than that, a new competition will take Rainbow Six Siege competition out to Paris for the Rainbow Six Siege Majors in August of 2018 before heading down to the passionate esports communities of Brazil for the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals. After all of that, 2019 will keep the steam going strong with the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational in Montreal, Canada in February 2019.

You can see the schedule of matches for the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League on the League website, sponsored by the ESL.

That wasn't the end of it though. Ubisoft and the Rainbow Six Siege has taken full notice of their passionate and lively esports scene and taken the opportunity to tell the stories of those who make it happen. A new documentary focusing on teams and players in the R6 esports scene was announced and teased with a trailer during the presentation, coming soon in its entirety. You can see the trailer below.

We’ll have more details on this as they become available, but don’t miss other great Ubisoft Announcements from E3, including confirmed co-op and content creation for Beyond Good & Evil 2.
