A truck bearing some interesting art related to Fortnite has been spotted on the streets of Los Angeles, hinting at a possible launch of the Fortnite Champions Tour at E3 2018.

UPDATE: 4:58 AM PST

Epic Games PR has stated that the studio is not involved or affiliated with the Fortnite Champions Tour.

It seems that Fortnite is looking to take the fast paced action of the game on the road, with a recent sighting of what appears to be a truck with the splash art for Fortnite Champions Tour painted on the side. The tagline of “50 Cities. 50 Sundays.” could possibly be a hint to a weekly tournament that Epic Games might be looking to set up, possibly in the same style as the Keemstar Friday Fortnite Tournament.

The truck was seen on the streets on Los Angeles and the snap taken by FaZe Clan Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, and posted to his twitter account just hours ago. Epic Games has already announced that they plan to inject a massive $100,000,000 into the scene as a boost to the esports scene that is already developing around the game. We’ve already seen the massive following that unofficial tournaments such as the Keemstar Friday Fortnite Tournament garners, so it makes sense for Epic to look towards creating a weekly competition.

Epic Games is already planning what could be the first of their major in-house events, with the Fortnite Pro-Am Celebrity tournament set to kick of tomorrow at E3. The 2v2 tournament will feature 50 teams comprised of some of the biggest names in the Fortnite streaming community combined with celebrities who have already expressed their interest and desire in the game. This single tournament will itself feature a $3 million dollar prize pool, set to go to various charities of the players’ choice.
