WWE Superstar Xavier Woods, alongside New Day mates Big E and Kofi Kingston, will battle NJPW's Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in Street Fighter V on the E3 stage. Here's how it happened and how to watch.

Finally, after years of jabbing at each other, WWE Superstar Xavier Woods and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Kenny Omega will do battle on the E3 Stage in Street Fighter V. But they won’t be alone - Woods is bringing his New Day teammates Kofi Kingson and Big E, while Omega will be joined by his Golden Elite teammates Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks. We've got the lowdown on the history of the competition and where you can catch the action today!

History of the Feud

The rivals’ first encounter took place at CEO 2016, where Woods and Omega did battle in a Street Fighter V exhibition, with Omega coming out the victor in the set. Since then, Woods and Omega have been trying to one-up each other, including in the official reveal trailer for Cody. Omega, playing Cody, and Woods, playing the rival mayor on the phone, continued to escalate their rivalry in front of the fighting game community.

On June 7, Woods and Omega officially threw down the gauntlet in an official Street Fighter video on Twitter. The rivals also officially announced their next bout would be a Team Battle between the New Day and a pair of Omega’s choosing. It was soon after revealed that Omega’s teammates would be Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks.

How To Watch

The stream will be hosted by UpUpDownDown, Xavier Wood’s YouTube channel, and the event will take place live from the E3 floor at 1PM PST/4PM EST today, June 14, 2018. Omega will be sure to have the IWGP championship in hand, as he won the title last week from longtime champion Kazuchika Okada.
