Intel Named Official Worldwide Sponsor of PUBG Global Invitational 2018

The PUBG Global Invitational 2018 will be the largest esports tournament in the history of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, and Intel will be helping to lead the charge as the worldwide sponsor of the event.

Tuesday, June 26th saw PUBG Corporation announce that leading PC gaming technology company Intel has been named as the official worldwide sponsor for the largest Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) esports event in history, the PUBG Global Invitational 2018.

Being named the official worldwide sponsor of the PGI 2018, Intel will be powering all of the tournament's PCs with the 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8700k processors to help provide leading gameplay and tournament performance for each of the professional teams that will be competing at the event.

With the powerful technology of Intel powering the event, PUBG Corp. is looking to make a splash in the esports world with the PGI 2018, as the event will be the first esports tournament for the popular battle royale title hosted directly by the developer of the battle royale title. 

The PGI 2018 will see 20 of the very best teams in the world travel to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany to compete for a share of the $2,000,000 prize pool from July 25th to the 29th. The teams will be punching their ticket to the tournament through securing victory in qualifiers hosted in their respective regions.
