H1Z1 Battle Royale has hit an impressive milestone on the PlayStation 4, paving the way for a potential move to other consoles in the future.

The new Airstrike Signal weapon has an explosive finish.

H1Z1 Battle Royale apparently fits right in on home consoles, as developer Daybreak Games is celebrating a massive milestone just one month into the Open Beta.

Daybreak announced via press release that the PlayStation 4 version of the Open Beta has topped 10 million users, an impressive feat in such a small span of time. Those 10 million players, according to Daybreak, have logged over 102 million hours of playtime in that month.

In celebration of the milestone, all players who have logged into the game prior to 11:59PM Pacific time on Wednesday, June 27 will receive a Darkfire Pickup Trick as well as Sunrise Parachute in-game skin completely free of charge. Daybreak also clarifies that no action is needed by the player to receive the skins, as both items will appear in the player's inventory automatically this weekend.

Along with this new milestone comes the announcement of a major patch for the beta, which according to the release "introduces Revive mechanics and aim acceleration adjustments to the popular battle royale shooter. It also features a new weapon, the Airstrike Signal, which allows players to call in a series of bombs to drop on enemies." The patch is live now, so players should see the new mechanics as soon as they log in next.

This is a major coup for the H1Z1 faithful, as bringing in 10 million players in one month's time is no small feat. In a battle royale market slowly filling up with new contenders -- who are all vying for that sweet Fortnite/PUBG payday -- H1Z1 Battle Royale is proving it can stand with the giants. 102 million hours of gametime can't be wrong, right? We're interested to see what other new surprises await the H1Z1 fanbase as the Open Beta rolls on into month two.
