The gaming accessory and esports powerhouse continues to spread its influence across the NBA's esports league, announcing its next team-level partnership with the Orlando Magic.

Gaming accessory company HyperX has announced its next NBA 2K League partnership, and this time it’s looking to make some real magic.

The company announced via press release that HyperX will be the official gaming peripherals partner for the Orlando Magic’s 2K League squad Magic Gaming.

The Magic’s Chief Sales Officer Michael Force expressed his pleasure with the deal, saying “Magic Gaming is excited to welcome a world-class brand like HyperX to our family for the inaugural season. HyperX has vast experience in the world of esports and we look forward to working with them to collectively grow Magic Gaming and HyperX brands.”

The partnership is being celebrated via social media with a new #MagicGamingGiveaway campaign, where fans can follow the team on Instagram and Twitter and learn more about the opportunity of scoring free HyperX gear. There will also be some in-game opportunities to participate, but those have not yet been elaborated on.

Dustin Illingworth of HyperX spoke about the team’s approach being a perfect fit for HyperX, as he said “Magic Gaming’s content-centric strategy is extremely appealing to us, bringing new and returning fans as close to the action as possible.”

This brings HyperX’s partnerships in the NBA 2K League to seven, having also become the official partner for the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and even the league itself. They’ve also named Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid as the company’s gaming headset ambassador.

The way HyperX is snatching up partnerships in the NBA 2K League, pretty soon we’ll be calling it the “HyperX Presents the NBA 2K League, Presented By HyperX” with games being played in the HyperX Arena. Power to the company for going for it, it’s a lucrative pursuit with a lot of reach for sure, but I wonder how far that reach will extend.
