Original Story Below

When Monster Hunter World was announced by Capcom at E3 2017, a great tidbit of information was that the game would also be coming to PC eventually. PC players were forced to wait long and patiently while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players had their share of fun and companionship in the latest hunts, but now the waiting comes to an end. Capcom is ready to release a grand array details on the PC build of Monster Hunter World!

The annoucement was made via the official Monster Hunter Twitter channel. Reportedly, the details were set to arrive at 9AM PST / 5PM BST on July 9, 2018. Three key points had been set to be addressed during this information dump: release date, distribution platform (whether it will come out on Steam, GOG, etc.), and the system specs (what equipment will be required to run the game at minimum or recommended settings).

As long as players and fans of Monster Hunter World have waited for this information, it's fantastic to see that those looking for the most beautiful Monster Hunter experience will finally be able to take part on PC - a first for the Monster Hunter series. We'll also be curious to find out down the line if Monster Hunter World on PC will be able to crossplay with PS4 or Xbox One players. In a world of growing concern regarding crossplay functionality, it will be interesting to see whether or not Capcom is willing to invest effort into Monster Hunter World along the same lines as Minecraft and Fortnite.

We'll have the updated details on this story as they are revealed. Check back soon! In the meantime, check out the competition coming to Monster Hunter World as the best hunters in the United States are given opportunity to show their worth in the Monster Hunter World USA Championship!
