Last season introduced the Blockbuster challenges, with loading screens as a reward. Complete all the challenges every single week and you unlocked a loading screen. Hidden in that loading screen was the icon for a battle star. Season five has just kicked off and the concept is back, except this time they’re called Road Trip challenges instead of Blockbuster. Completing all of this week’s challenges will reward you with the first loading screen and this is where to find the battle pass tier on the map.
Marked in red on the map above, the free battle star can be found in the umbrella cave in between Pleasant Park and Lazy Links. We haven’t got an in-game screenshot because we haven’t managed to complete all the challenges yet this week (three clinger, grenade or stink bomb eliminations is harder than it sounds!), but we know where it will be once we unlock it.
If you take a look at the loading screen above, leaked early by TwoEpicBuddies, you can just make out the battle star icon on the map being held by Rex. Complete all the weekly challenges for seven weeks running and you’ll unlock the Road Trip skin - last season’s blockbuster skin was The Visitor, so hopefully this one is just as cool.
