Fortnite and Funko have partnered up to launch a series of Fortnite toys arriving this holiday season.

Fortnite is undeniably the biggest video game craze since Minecraft and in a further effort to globalise the franchise, Epic Games have teamed up with Funko to create a series of toys based around the Battle Royale and Save The World modes. The product line will include more than ten different product lines including their trademark Pop! figures, Pint Size Heroes, Vynl, 5 Star figures, Pop! apparel and more.

Some fan concepts of what they could look like.

"We're all big fans of Funko's collectibles,” Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games explained. “So we were thrilled when we had the chance to partner with them on the Fortnite collection. We hope our players are as excited as we are about all of the cool stuff that's on its way."

"We are thrilled to collaborate and partner with Epic Games to create the inaugural Fortnite™ product collection and to bring these characters to life for the first time," said Brian Mariotti, CEO of Funko. "This collection will be a true celebration of Fortnite's incredible popularity and cultural significance, and we believe our Funko Fortnite collectibles will strongly resonate with fans of the game. We look forward to expanding this collection and combining our leading product capabilities with our strong retail platform. Ultimately our goal is to create a powerful merchandise strategy for the Fortnite™ brand, as well as bring these amazing collectibles to fans around the world."

This is huge news for Fortnite fans around the world, as physical merchandise and collectibles for the title have been relatively few and far between until now. There’s no exact date for the release, but they’ll be available for purchase from “a broad array of retailers worldwide” this holiday season.

Elsewhere in Fortnite news, the Submachine Gun was re-added to the game yesterday and is now considerably more powerful than the previous iteration. Also, check out Ninja playing Fortnite with a number of professional athletes at the ESPYs.
