Swag Sunday is an event that helps celebrate the Arena of Valor World Cup that enables players to get a free character, which includes these DC heroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, or The Flash.

Staring on July 22nd, there will be a new in-game event where Arena of Valor players can earn prizes by logging in and playing matches. Then that Sunday, July 29th, playing a match that day will give players enough tokens to unlock any premium hero in the Arena of Valor roster, which does include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, or The Flash. This also includes the Catacombs Arthur Skin, who looks a bit like the Lich King from Warcraft and is just super awesome.

Also during this time, all heroes except for Zephys will be free to play while the event is going on. This is a perfect time to test out some of the characters being used in the World Cup as there have been some trends in who the pros are picking. Players will also get Double XP and

Fennik, Natalya, and Ormarr’s Snow Festival limited skins will be made available for purchase. The Mystery Shop will also be available for discounts on characters and skins.

So here’s a step by step.

  • Download and log into Arena of Valor
  • Play any type of match
  • Earn prizes
  • Play on Sunday, July 29th to receive an unlock any hero token (also counts for Catacombs Arthur skin)

That’s it!

Go out and play some Arena of Valor, turn on the World Cup on a TV, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or anything with access to Twitch or Youtube and enjoy a full weeks worth of bonuses. In between matches, we highly recommend taking a look at our recent interview with the Director of Esports for Tencent, Ramon Hermann, who spoke on why Arena of Valor on mobile makes for an interesting approach to esports and how they really want to create a Little League of esports in various cities or regions.

Arena of Valor is also headed to Switch, so check out our thoughts of the game’s Beta tests and how it could overthrow some of the most popular games out there.
