The postponement of the NerdOut Sunday Storm event will likely be sad news for fans of the competitive scene of the popular battle royale title from Epic Games.
Sunday's event was set to be the culmination of an exciting weekend of competitive battle royale action, as Friday played host to the first 500K solo tournament for Week 2 of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish Series, while Saturday saw the second 500K solo tournament for the Summer Skirmish and the Rise Till Dawn Tournament hosted by Red Bull and Tyler "Ninja" Belvins take place.
Many were also looking forward to seeing the brand new format that the event was bringing to the competitive scene of Fortnite being played by some of the biggest and most popular names in the community.
It remains to be seen if NerdOut will be able to acquire the funding necessary in time for the Sunday Storm Fortnite Tournament to take place on Sunday, July 22nd. We will update this article with any updates regarding the event that was originally scheduled to take place today.
Even with the postponement of the NerdOut Sunday Storm Fortnite Tournament, fans can take comfort in the fact that the group will be working extremely hard in order to have their next competitive event be one to remember for all fans of the popular battle royale game.
