The squad have pulled off an impressive victory with an equally impressive prize pool.

The dust has settled on the second day at the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Global Invitational with Gen.G Gold pulling off a clutch series of victories to claim the Third-Person Perspective Title. Along with the glory and accolades they’ll receive, the team will also walk away with $400,000 in prize money for taking the top spot.

After finishing the first day with a fairly comfortable lead, Gen.G had to contend with the frontrunners of the competition, Team Liquid and their own sister team, Gen.G Black, who both held a formidable lead. However, the opening games took their toll on the pack leaders as they both finished lower than expected, allowing Gen.G Gold to advance their position overall.

As the day progressed, Gen.G Black and Team Liquid continued to struggle, as Gen.G Gold claimed several excellent finishes including two first place finishes. With everything on the line, Gen.G Gold opted to play it safe for the final round, coming in third to secure enough points to claim the overall championship. Team Liquid managed to hold on to what remained of their lead to claim the second-place prize, while Welcome to South Georgo picked up third place overall.

While the Third-Person Perspective event has concluded, there is still plenty of action ready to kick off at the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Global Invitational 2018, with the streamers show-match taking place tomorrow.
