With the esports world growing, the North American League of Legends broadcast has paid respect to the recent winners of the Overwatch League Grand Finals.

It’s always nice to see game companies getting along, and the recent Overwatch League finals have certainly brought out the best in everyone. The North American League of Legends Championship Series is one of the more prominent esports tournaments out there, as the teams battle year long to earn a spot at the World Championships. On the other hand, while Overwatch has been out for a couple years now, the Overwatch League is still a very new event, only just finishing their inaugural season.

The winners of the Overwatch League Grand Finals, the London Spitfire, are run by an organization that has ties to many different esports, so when the timing coincided with Cloud9 winning their match in the NA LCS while London claimed victory in the OWL, the broadcasting desk of the NA LCS took a moment to congratulate the organization on their accomplishments.

This isn’t actually the first time the NA LCS Analyst desk has done so, with the results of the ELEAGUE Boston Major for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive again lining up well with the NA LCS.

While many consider these different games to be competing with each other, from a certain point of view it makes sense that they would celebrate the success of each other, particularly as esports continues to grow into a more mainstream activity.
