Artifact, the upcoming Dota 2 themed card game, has been given a release date for November 28th on Steam, costing $20 and available on PC, Max, and Linux systems.
This will be the first Valve game to launch with a fixed release price since Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the first new game in quite some time from the developer. Unlike the free-to-play model used by other Valve games and other TCG’s, players will need to purchase the games base mode to join the action.
Artifact - Releasing November 28, 2018 on PC / Mac / Linux priced at $20 USD will be up for its first hands on showing at PAX West between Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2018.

Valve’s VP of Marketing gave additional details to Arstechnica, revealing that the initial package on sale in November will feature two pre-made "base" decks of 54 cards each ("5 heroes, 9 items, and 40 other cards") and 10 sealed packs of cards, which each include 12 random cards, one of which is guaranteed to be "rare." Additionally, card packs will be on offer at launch from the Steam store.
The game will also be available for attendees to try at PAX West, with the developer promising that anyone who waits in line and tries out the public demo will be given two free keys to the game at launch. The game is also scheduled to release on Android and iOS sometime in 2019, though no further details have been revealed at this time.
The game is also slated to take advantage of the in-built Steam marketplace to create the first online TCG with a secondary marketplace, allowing players to sell or trade duplicate cards to build the decks that they want.
