Daigo Thinks Evil Ryu and Street Fighter Alpha Characters Will Be Coming to SFV Season 4

Speaking with fighting game legend Daigo Umehara recently, Twin Galaxies was told by the Cygames Street Fighter V player that he expects to see Evil Ryu and other popular characters be added in Season 4 of SFV.

Daigo Umehara is known simply as "The Beast" in the fighting game community for the exceptional talent and knowledge that he has portrayed and utilized during his decades worth of experience. Known to be one of the most popular, influential and skilled Street Fighter players in the world, fans always gravitate towards what Cygames player Daigo Umehara has to say about the popular fighting game franchise, especially when it concerns whether or not he is thinking about retiring anytime soon.

Twin Galaxies was able to sit down with Daigo recently and get his thoughts on what he believes Capcom has in store for the player base of Street Fighter V for a possible Season 4 with the end of Season 3 coming closer every day.

TG: We’re coming to the end of Season 3 and we’ve still got characters like G who is an unknown factor and Sagat coming back to the game, do you feel like Street Fighter V has more mileage in it, are we going to see Season 4? Do you think we’ll see the return of E. Honda and other Street Fighter characters? Also, are there any kind of character archetypes that you feel are missing or anything returning that you’d like to see?

Daigo: In the promotional trailer for the characters for Season 3, you kind of see yourself turning into Evil Ryu, so I’m expecting that Evil Ryu will come out in the next drop, that’s a possibility. Also, as far as other characters go, because of Evil Ryu I think we’ll possibly see Gen and Makoto. All those popular characters are yet to be seen.

Due to what looked to be a possible teaser of the evil version of the Street Fighter hero of Ryu, Daigo believes that the counterpart to Ryu, Gen and Makato are all highly probable possibilities to be the next set of characters that Capcom will deliver for fans to play as in Street Fighter V.
