Twin Galaxies was able to catch up with CyGames Beast player PR Balrog and learn what the Street Fighter V competitor currently thinks of the title that Capcom has planned to support through 2020.

Many of the very best fighting game players have been known for their exceptional skill with a specific character.

However, not many have shown such an extreme level of dominance with one character that they utilize that character's name for their own fighting game player name for competition. This is the case with Eduardo "PR Balrog" Pérez who has become known by the same title of the Street Fighter character of Balrog who he has shown extraordinary playing ability with in his career.

While PR Balrog has stepped away from using Balrog the exclusively in Street Fighter V, the Cygames sponsored fighting game player is still a top threat to anyone in the community.

Twin Galaxies was able to sit down with PR Balrog recently at EVO 2018 and pick his thoughts about everything from his opinion on the title, how much time he believes Street Fighter V can remain a top game in the FGC and what other games he might explore if Street Fighter is not able to hold him for any longer as a competitor.

TG: What do you think about Street Fighter V?

PR Balrog: "I have a love/hate relationship with the game. Whenever I play offline, I enjoy it most of the time. I do hate that we are forced to play on PS4, because it is a weaker version. I feel like things would be better if we could transition to PC.

Right now, you have to be afraid of everyone in the pool, just because the PS4 is a little laggy compared to PC. Also, I would really like to see some netcode fixes. I also would love them to consult someone who really knows the game when they go to nerf/buff characters."

TG: How much time do you think Street Fighter V has left?

PR Balrog: "It’s hard to say, sometimes it seems like there are a lot fewer viewers and then you come to a big event and there is a lot of viewers. I would give Street Fighter V two years."

TG: If you did stray away from Street Fighter, what game would you go to?

PR Balrog: "Right now, I would definitely play Tekken. I also like BlazBlue a lot."

TG: What characters do you play as in those games?

PR Balrog: "I play Steve in Tekken, as well as some Dragunov. I can’t remember my BBTag (BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle) characters, but I use to play Rachel before."
