Twin Galaxies was able to sit down with Rhys "Rated" Price of Red Reserve at the 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship where he stated that he believes he has been the MVP for his team this season.

The 2018 Call of Duty World League Season for Call of Duty: WWII has been a very successful one for the Call of Duty team of esports organization Red Reserve.

Utilizing the talents of Rhys "Rated" Price, Joseph "Joee" Pinnington, Trei "Zer0" Morris and Matthew "Skrapz" Marshall, the Red Reserve Call of Duty team has been able to secure numerous top placements throughout the series of LAN events that have taken place throughout the 2018 CWL season with the highlighted outings consisting of Red Reserve's 2nd place finish at CWL Anaheim and 3rd place finish at the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs.

The roster of Red Reserve have proven this season that they are a force to be feared in the professional Call of Duty scene, and Rated believes that he has been the most valuable player for his team throughout the year that has propelled them to the 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship.

"Probably me. I would count myself as the MVP. Everyone would probably say Matt (Skrapz), but before we picked up Matt his best placement was like top 16, so I'll just take it. Give it to me," said Rated. " I just feel like its been my best year. In previous years sometimes I took a dip in form, but this year I have been consistent at the top and international level."

While the 2018 CWL season has seen Rated rise to become on the top AR players in Call of Duty, he finds it somewhat strange that his successful year of playing has come during the cycle for Call of Duty: WWII, as Rated believes that WWII is one of the worst competitive titles in the first person shooter franchise.

"CoD: WWII as a competitive title is probably one of the worst ones. IW (Infinite Warfare) is at the rock bottom, and WWII is probably the next worse. I feel like the maps are super bad for competitive, which all you need for a good competitive game are good maps. It's weird because for me personally this has probably been my best year ever performance wise, so I guess I like the game," said Rated.

Even though Call of Duty: WWII has not been one of the most well received titles in the history of professional Call of Duty, the 2018 CWL season has given the European region the ability to show that it can compete with North America at the very top levels of the scene. This rise to the top by teams such as Red Reserve and players like Rated has shown that there is no longer a gap between the skill levels of the two top regions in Call of Duty esports, according to the top AR player for Red Reserve.

"I think everyone knows that there is no gap anymore between NA and EU. Everyone is on the same level, and this year has especially proved that," stated Rated.

Red Reserve enters Saturday, August 18th as one of the remaining 12 teams that still have a shot at claiming the $600,000 and the 2018 CWL Championship title with Rated leading the way as the self-proclaimed MVP for Red Reserve.
