After claiming victory in their final regular season game in the North American League of Legends Championship Series, Echo Fox have secured a spot in playoffs and a shot at the championship title.

It’s been a long and hard season for Echo Fox, facing several setbacks and roster changes that would have broken a lesser team. Luckily for the Fox Family, the mainstays of this team, top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett, have both managed to keep cool, calm, and collected as they kept the team together through sheer force of will. Taking down Clutch Gaming here today, Echo Fox will now face off in a series of tie-breaker matches to determine their exact position in the standings, though their position in the playoffs is assured. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.

The game started fairly straightforward, with both teams trading kills back and forth while looking for early advantage. Clutch Gaming managed to pick up the first major objective of the game, securing the first Dragon, though were unable to turn that into anything more in the early game. With the skirmishes becoming more frequent, Echo Fox picked up the first tower of the game before trading away the Rift Herald for a Dragon of their own.

Clutch Gaming would pick up a tower for themselves, but that would prove to be the last objective they would claim this match, as Echo Fox began to sweep them from the map. All subsequent objectives and kills belonged to Echo Fox, as they methodically cleaned up the map. Taking down multiple towers and Dragons, Echo Fox even claimed the Baron buff after wiping Clutch Gaming from the field, cementing their growing certainty that this would be the victory they would need. It wouldn’t take long for Echo Fox to move into the enemy base and destroy the infrastructure there, handing them the victory they needed to go to playoffs.
