We’ve seen quite a few teams make roster adjustments over the weekend, and it looks as though that trend is only going to continue. The Philadelphia Fusion have announced that they are cutting three players from their roster, Georgii “ShaDowBurn” Gushcha, Joe “Joemeister” Gramano, and Park “DayFly” Jeong-Hwan. All three players have been a member of the team since late last year, with each contributing to the team’s success over the course of the Overwatch League.
The most shocking part of the roster shake-up is the release of ShaDowBurn, who many consider to be one of the best DPS players in the league. “Our success in the inaugural Overwatch League season could not have been achieved without their dedication,” wrote the Fusion on Twitter. “They will always be part of the Fusion family and we wish them the best.”

Our success in the inaugural OWL season could not have been achieved without their dedication. They will always be part of the Fusion family and we wish them the best.
It’s unclear where these players will go at this point, however we’ve seen that several teams are now in need of new players, including the Shanghai Dragons who have released almost the entirety of their roster. It seems unlikely that players of the caliber of ShaDowBurn will remain without a squad for long though.
