One of the many tasks Guardians can now complete in Destiny 2: Forsaken, is to present an offering to the Oracle found near the Divalian Mists. It’s isn’t readily apparent exactly how to complete this task but doing so can prove to be a vital mission, especially for players looking to improve their gear.
How to Present an Offering to the Oracle
After the main campaign for Destiny 2: Forsaken is complete, players will have access to the Dreaming City, and the may secrets it hides away. Players who can present an offering to the Oracle will receive a few pieces of gear and a new quest, Purification Ritual. Completing this quest earns players the Transcendent Blessing, a mod that removes Riven’s Curse from the Reverie armor set. Without an offering, the Oracle will simply display the message “You lack an Offering”.
To kick things off, an Offering must be presented to the Oracle, with the following steps:
Visit Petra Venj in the Dreaming City
Purchase the Gateway Between Worlds weekly bounty
Complete Gateway Between Worlds to receive the offering to the Oracle
Take the offering to the Oracle near Divalian Mists

Currently, this is the only way to get an Offering to give to the Oracle. This bounty costs 40 Dark Fragments, so make sure you have some spare as this is a weekly bounty.
The requirements to complete the bounty may differ from week to week. As one example, the bounty has required players to go to the Blind Well and complete several tiers, with each tier providing a varying amount of completion percentage.
Once the bounty is complete, cash it in from your inventory page to receive the Offering.
Where to find the Oracle
Once you have the Offering, head over to the Oracle and hand it over. To get there, start at the Divalian Mists and head straight, going through the riverbed. Look left to see a tunnel made of blue crystal, then follow the path. You should recognize the temple when you reach the end, as it’s where you first enter the Dreaming City during the campaign.
Head inside and use the stairs to reach the platform with the Oracle tablet. Present the Offering and a chest will appear with rewards and a new quest, Purification Ritual.
Purification Ritual
This is an additional quest step received from the Oracle, that has a random requirement to finish. Some requests have been to complete a strike, or take down Knights during the Ascendant Challenge, so make sure you check out the description to find out what you need to do.
The Purification Ritual quest is an important step in improving the Reverie Armor found in the Dreaming City, as it wards the Transcendent Blessing, a mod that replaces Riven’s Curse. This new mod has all the benefits from Riven’s Curse, but removes the drawback, making it a very good tool for players looking to take on the Last Wish Raid.
