Unlocking one of the new subclass options in Destiny 2 is fairly straightforward when completing the campaign but unlocking the other subclass options requires a bit more work. Players looking to fully unlock their subclass options will need to put in time and effort if they want to experience everything Destiny 2: Forsaken has to offer.

How to get another Seed of Light

Players wanting to unlock their remaining subclass options will need to get their hands on another Seed of Light, aside from the one gained by completing the main campaign. Once the Dreaming City is unlocked, players will be able to participate in the Blind Well event, which holds a Seed of Light as a reward. To begin the appropriate Blind Well event, players will need to procure a Charge of Light, Tier 2.

Attempting this event solo is a foolhardy venture, so players will need to assemble their fireteam before making their way to the Blind Well. A good strategy to ensure adequate firepower is to have your fireteam split up and make your way to the Blind Well separately. This method allows the greatest chance of encountering another fireteam, at which point your fireteam can reassemble and work as a much larger group.

Find the center pedestal and insert the Charge of Light Tier 2, then get ready for a fight. Once the event is complete, players should receive a Seed of Light to use in unlocking additional subclass options.

Separately from the Blind Well, the first encounter of the Last Wish raid has been confirmed as a drop location for a Seed of Light. If players are able to take down both this encounter and the Tier 2 Blind Well, they should be able to unlock all subclass options at their leisure. However, these are likely not the only ways to get additional Seed’s of Light, just the only confirmed locations at present.
